OSCAR'S SONG was strong in the betting on handicap bow at Worcester last month and although disappointing down the field in eighth, the six-year-old is clearly thought capable of better now dropped to maiden company. Henry Oliver has a 8-29 record here in the last five years and Fairy Pol is fancied to build on her bumper debut fifth at Bangor in May now tackling hurdles, while Thelunarschooner wasn't exactly fluent at Market Rasen 11 days ago but should have come on for the experience.

Irish challenger Chitu was far from disgraced giving weight to the classy duo of Ballyandy and Fagan at Perth last month and should appreciate these calmer shores under 7lb claimer Adam Short, while Lined With Silver never looked happy here when last seen in May but previously looked progressive. This can go the way of GIBSON PARK, who ran well in second at Plumpton recently despite carrying a double penalty. He has long shaped like a chaser in the making and can make a perfect start to life in this sphere.

COOL MACAVITY represents a handler with a 8-16 record at this venue with his hurdlers in the last five years and the nine-year-old should be ready for this after a pipe-opener on the Flat back in August. Relatively lightly raced in this sphere, a mark of 122 looks fair and he has been found a nice opening. Raven's Tower was disappointing last season but perhaps a 188-day break will have sparked him into life, while Castafiore is another to note for a handler that goes well at this time of year.

SHANKSFORAMILLION completed a course and distance hat-trick at Worcester back in August and the eight-year-old doesn't have many miles on the clock in this sphere. He is unbeaten under this handler, who had a similar type in the ranks in the shape of Tobefair last season, and can continue his progress. Shady Glen and Charlie Papa Lima don't exactly look to be fairly treated, while much was expected of Legal Ok last season, though he continues to disappoint.

Paul Webber's COPPERFACEJACK always seems to hit the frame without getting his head in front, however the likeable seven-year-old won't get a better opportunity than this with the champion jockey Richard Johnson booked to take the ride. Dontminddboys was second here over shorter and has gone well over this distance in the past, while Frank The Slink could be dangerously placed at the foot of the handicap with claiming jockey Finian O'Toole removing a further 5lb.

CELSIANA, who was a Book Two filly back in 2015, makes a belated racecourse bow for handler Marcus Tregoning and could be the one to side with in this contest full of newcomers. Robin Dickin's Black Sam Bellamy gelding Netherton Boy is respected at a course the handler often does well at and any market support should be noted. Raving Bonkers and Esther Du Clos are others to consider with the handler of the latter Christian Williams looking to make his mark on the training ranks this term.
