LASTING CASH makes most appeal of the Jared Brown pair and, having had both Fortyfivejewels and Sunny Commander behind on her last two starts, this looks an ideal chance for her to break her duck. Blaster and Diamond Ice Girl must also be considered.
A positive market move for Shaniko Classic would be of interest on his debut but slight preference is for CEBURUCO, who has shaped with promise on both of his starts to date. There should be more to come from the gelded son of Jonathan's Gold, while Rexurg is another to be wary of.
BUDS N ROSES finally shed her maiden tag last time out and looks to hold strong claims here if in a similar mood. She stayed on with purpose on that occasion, when hinting that this step up in trip would be ideal, but keep a close eye on Winsome Games and Wish Me Luck.
GET YOU made a lasting impression when stepped into similar company last time out and similar front-running tactics are expected to suffice here. The Phenom and Steamy Story are also noteworthy.
STUBBORN STREAK displayed marked improvement when last sighted at Hollywood Park and warrants the utmost respect on only his third career start. Of the others, Master Demand is likely to have come on for his initial experience, while Winter Canyon rates best of the rest.
SECRET ELEMENT lost nothing in defeat when going down by just two lengths on his first start for Jonathan Nance and, with further improvement a distinct possibility, this could be his chance. Six Day Journey and Lucava are others to be wary of.
YODEL ME HOME is of particular interest in this beaten claimer now dropped back to 5f. The speedster displayed a useful turn of foot to finish second when last sighted over this trip and looks good value for this at the forecast prices. Kela Dance and Noble Cavalier complete the shortlist.
TERLANI continues to hold her form well for new trainer Frank Barroby and this drop in class should suit the five-year-old. She ran on strongly over the extended 6f when last seen to good affect in September last year and, on the basis of that, shouldn't have many problems in getting the extended 7f here. Yesterday and Spokane Dancer rate the pick of the remainder.
OLD SONG'S LADY can send punters home with a smile on their face if back to the form that saw her land a $2,500 claimer in September last year. She boasts the best form in the race and is expected to get the better of Pine Grove and Ranaway Fay.
