Good race. QUEST FROM AFAR was heavily supported when finding one too good on debut but would've come on since and could reward her followers by going one better. HOLLYWOODBOUND is held on that form but could improve to get closer reverting to this trip. CANARY WALK, METEORIC and WOMAN OF SUBSTANCE all pleased in their respective introductions and should be wiser to the task. LOOKING HOT and STOLEN KISS could get into the picture but a bigger threat could come from one of the newcomers, so watch the betting. CHICAGO LASS and DESERT MIRACLE make most appeal of the debutantes.

Verdict

Nice race where Paul Peter has a strong hand. SOUTH EAST has ability and is likely to have come on since his reappearance as a gelding, so could have more to offer under a 4kg claimer. Talented stablemate KWITE A TRIP may need his comeback after a rest but is open to improvement returning as a gelding reunited with Luke Ferraris. GODSWOOD has the benefit of race fitness so could have the edge. Veterans ISPHAN and DONNY G cannot be discounted, though preference is for the former. Verdict

Some may want to oppose Equus Champion SUMMER PUDDING back over 1600m in her 2nd start after a rest but it's hard to see her not winning again on these terms. She is slung in at the weights, unbeaten over the distance and also likely to strip fitter for a winning comeback run, so will be hard to beat. RUNNING BRAVE, KELPIE and LADY OF STEEL will keep her honest and are most likely to pick up the pieces should the selection fluff her lines. WISTERIA WALK and SEEHAAM could also get into the picture. DUE DILIGENCE and ZIMBABA (unexposed trip) will have to run well above their ratings to get a look in.

Tricky, as a case can be made for each of these. Veteran ZOUAVES sets a good standard and ought to enjoy reverting to this trip, so must be respected. APPROACH CONTROL is closely matched with that rival on the form of a recent meeting in a similar contest. PUTONTHEREDLIGHT finished on the heels of those so is another to consider. Verdict

Another tricky event. BELLA ROSA, BEBOP, PHOENIX and ENTENTE have solid form at this level of the handicap, so are capable of staking a claim and could play a role in the outcome. SO THEY SAY has run well in both races out the maidens but will need to raise her game to make her presence felt.
