It could be significant that A P McCoy takes over in the plate aboard Milord, fourth in the 2013 Fred Winter, but he's proving a frustrating horse to follow and it could pay to take him on with FRAMPTON. Charlie Longsdon's inmate has shaped with plenty of promise, albeit in defeat, in four bumper starts thus far and he's expected to have been well readied for this first outing over timber. Of the others, Fiasco is a well bred son of Presenting and he's shortlisted for a shrewd operation on his racecourse debut.

KILFINICHEN BAY is well fancied in a bid to complete his hat-trick. The son of Westerner won with consummate ease under a 7lb penalty at Huntingdon last time out and, although a further 12lb rise is sure to make life a lot tougher, the form has been franked on two separate occasions and he's difficult to oppose. Four Shuck Men is entitled to strip fitter for his Bangor reappearance last month, but C&D winner Cash For Steel rarely runs a bad race and she's feared most.

Grape Tree Flame was an impressive Cartmel maiden winner in May and should give a good account on her handicap debut if raring to go following a break. Stonemadforspeed is also expected to be thereabouts, but DEADLY STING arrives buoyed by his maiden C&D triumph 11 days ago and the assessor has left him on the same mark for his handicap debut. The Scorpion gelding was deemed good enough to contest the Grade 1 Sefton Novices' Hurdle at Aintree in April and he looks up to exploiting 116 given the proximity of the 118-rated Silver Shuffle (second) here latest.

DECIDING MOMENT was forced to play second fiddle to The Romford Pele at Worcester last time out, but that form is hard to knock given Rebecca Curtis' charge has since won the John Smith's Summer Cup here with any amount in hand. The son of Zagreb is well worth another look off an unchanged mark of 128 and he beat some smart chasers at Stratford two starts back. Rockchasebullett boasts sound claims based on his Newton Abbot exploits in June, while it could be worth keeping an eye on Fantasy King as well.

SKINT exploited a mark of 123 over fences at Worcester in July so could be thrown in off 118 reverting to hurdles for this assignment. The booking of A P McCoy is a huge positive and that confidence-boosting success over the larger obstacles will have given him the impetus to go on. Panache is 7lb higher for his Ffos Las victory last month and he couldn't have won any easier under 7lb claimer Jodie Hughes, while Exitas completes the shortlist.

ACCESSALLAREAS won by no fewer than 15 lengths at Worcester 12 days ago and he's expected to follow up. Sarah-Jayne Davies' charge has gone up 8lb for that facile victory and the drop back in trip clearly suited the nine-year-old. Red Rosso won over this distance at Southwell three starts back and can serve it up to the selection if recapturing that form, while Maizy Missile is no stranger to success here and she completes the shortlist.

Ben Haslam has secured the services of A P McCoy for OPERATEUR, second to the Jim Best gamble Saint Helena at Southwell last time, and he can go one place better despite having gone up 6lb in the ratings for not winning. Auto Mac displayed some improvement at Market Rasen last time and that was a step in the right direction, but there was plenty to like about Tennessee Bird's latest second over C&D and he's feared most.
