Madam Isshe has been running well of late and there is every reason to expect another big run from her here, while Flaxen Lake also comes into this in good heart and he is respected. Sharp Bullet also has claims but, in an open-looking contest, the one who makes most appeal is GREEN LAGONDA. He is attractively weighted on the pick of his form and he showed signs of a revival at Goodwood last week.

Much depends on the fitness of FAT BOY here. He has been off the track for well over a year but he had some classy form in pattern company in his younger days and, if he returns to action anywhere near peak fitness, he will be tough to beat. Sunrise Safari is not the easiest to catch right but he has major claims dropping to claiming company for the first time, while Excusez Moi and Vhujon are others with claims.

A competitive looking staying handicap and a case can be made for a few of them. Galiotto has not really progressed as expected since winning at Brighton in April but the application of blinkers could help and he is shortlisted along with Leyte Gulf, who has been raised 2lb for his C&D success last month. However, THIEF shaped nicely on his return from a long lay-off here last month and he gets a tentative verdict with that run under his belt. Simple Jim and Astronomical should not be left out of calculations.

Drawnfromthepast had RIEVALUX WORLD behind when winning over this C&D last week but he has a 6lb penalty for that success and Kevin Ryan's representative could finally be ready to end a spell in the doldrums off a very attractive handicap mark. Fair Passion finished third on that occasion and she should be in the firing line once again while Ziggy Lee can also play a leading role if putting his best foot forward.

BIANCA DE MEDICI has shown plenty of promise in maidens and she looks sure to go well on her first foray into handicap company. The drop back to 7f from a mile looks a shrewd move and she can get off the mark at the main expense of Posy Fossil, who is not the most consistent but she is certainly capable of getting involved if producing her best form. Key Breeze won well over 1m1f here last week and a 6lb penalty might not stop him from going close providing the drop in trip is no problem.

This can go the way of the progressive PAPHOS. He has won with a little bit in hand over 7f on his two most recent outings at Lingfield and a 7lb rise does not look insurmountable with further progress entirely possible. The Human League is in good heart at present and he makes plenty of appeal on his all-weather debut, despite a 3lb rise for his Leicester success last time out. Law Of Attraction and Fleetwoodsands can also feature.

There was plenty to like about HAYLAMAN's debut effort over a mile at Lingfield last month and he is sure to have benefitted a great deal for that experience so he can go close this evening. Retreat Content finished well beaten in a valuable sales race in Ireland last time out but he will find this less demanding and he should make his presence felt. Zamina is also considered while Voovoo is an interesting newcomer.

FORMULATION has been strongly fancied on his two most recent outings and he is on an upward curve. The application of blinkers can help in his bid to record a first career success tonight, although Kronful made no mistake when offered a penalty kick at Newcastle back in May and she commands the utmost respect on her handicap debut. Veroon is not impossibly handicapped and he should not be left out of calculations.
