DOUBLE REFLECTION made amends for a narrow defeat at Chelmsford two starts ago by winning at Beverley last time and he has to be respected in this contest, despite a 5lb rise in the ratings. Amor Fati hit the crossbar when last seen and he should be in the mix once again, while Destinys Rock and Smart Connection are others who merit places on the shortlist.

MISTER ALLEGRO was far from disgraced when finishing third at Kempton last time and that followed a victory at the same venue. A reproduction of either of those efforts would give him a big chance today, despite arriving here on a career-high mark. Gypsy Boy was not beaten far when third on his nursery debut over 7f here on Tuesday and he may improve for the step up in trip. Others to note are Ghayahib and Mia Mia.

RICH WATERS improved significantly for his debut effort judging by is victory at Kempton last month and the strength of that form suggests that he could add another win to his record today. Shalanez only found one too good on her debut over 6f here recently and she is an obvious threat to the selection. Ibn Arabi is another with solid form claims and he is the clear pick of the remainder.

MESSALINA should be all the wiser for the experience gained when third on debut here last month and could step up on that effort now she has the benefit of a run behind her and is sporting first-time cheekpieces. The main danger to the selection appears to be 76-rated James Fanshawe representative Long Haired Lover, who is exposed but helps set the form standard nevertheless. Tefnut can pick up the bronze medal.

THOWQ makes plenty of appeal on her distance second at Yarmouth in June and should be thereabouts if running to her rating of 80. Sunset Kiss took a step in the right direction when beaten by less than a length in a 7f Newmarket maiden last time, and she heads the list of dangers from Hi Way, who shaped with some promise when running better than her finishing position suggests at Yarmouth latest.

FULL AUTHORITY ran well from the front for a long way over this trip at Chelmsford last time and is expected to mount a bold bid, off an unchanged mark, now eased in grade. C&D winner Walk On Walter took a step in the right direction when fourth at Bath last time and could play a prominent role off this 2lb lower perch. Others to note include consistent all-weather performer Katheefa, who returns from a break, and recent Chester third Venturous.

Bahuta Acha (first) got the better of subsequent Newcastle scorer Lucky Lodge, beaten a neck at Chelmsford on Thursday, (second) when they met here last month and the pair of course-and-distance winners require plenty of consideration. End Zone was fourth in that track-and-trip contest on his first appearance for Roger Fell and is respected. However, preference is for LEZARDRIEUX, who has been in fine form of late and was only a neck away from back-to-back Pontefract victories nine days ago. The return to 6f is likely to suit and Grant Tuer's three-year-old is just 1lb higher here. Grey Galleon and Dana Forever are others arriving here in good order and warrant consideration.

PECKINPAH has been steadily improving on the level during the summer months and the four-year-old's most recent performance, when runner-up at Salisbury, suggested he was capable of going one better as he drops back in trip. Prince Llyr went close to following up a C&D success in August when second at Goodwood last month and he is feared along with Chairman Power, who placed on his handicap debut at Kempton when last seen.
