ROY'S LEGACY displayed real guts to hold the late challenge of Desert Strike at Lingfield over 5f last time out and he's fancied to go in again with confidence very much restored. A mere 2lb rise in the weights might not be enough to stop the son of Phoenix Reach and it could be significant that Adam Kirby takes over in the plate. Cadmium Loch arrives on a hat-trick and he knows his way around here, so Andrew Hollinshead's charge is noted, along with Point North.

EXCEEDEXPECTATIONS is the mount of Jamie Spencer in this selling handicap and that could be a tip in itself. The five-year-old exploited a 4lb lower mark over 7f here last month when clearly responding to the first-time visor. All five career wins have come on an artificial surface and he's expected to take all the beating dropping in class slightly. Catalyze is consistent and Dark Lane may have been offered a timely form boost through Cadmium Loch in the opener on this card.

MAPPIN TIME was sent off favourite for a similar handicap at Southwell last month and wasn't disgraced in finishing a three-quarters-of-a-length second to King Bertie. Tim Easterby's charge has finished outside of the first three home just three times in nine starts on the all-weather, including two wins, and he gets in under a nice weight. Barracuda Boy has been found a decent opening for his seasonal bow and Tom Dascombe's inmate, who sets a high standard, is shortlisted, along with Bedloe's Island.

PATIENCE ALEXANDER fetched 65,000gns at Tattersalls in October last year and is closely related to 5f two-year-old winner Dozy and the talented Without A Trace. With the absence of stablemate Low Cut Affair, he looks the one to be on ahead of Wiggle, whose dam won over 5f so should have plenty of speed. Bill Turner's Mark's Whisper is another to take seriously.

ALMARGO has clearly improved from two to three and wins at Kempton and Lingfield so far this year suggest the future is bright. Mark Johnston's inmate can improve again for the step back up to 7f for this assignment and, 6lb higher than when scoring in a Lingfield handicap eight days ago, another bold showing looks assured. Secret Suspect is a C&D winner and Big Boned makes her handicap bow for shrewd connections.

A competitive handicap can go the way of the race-fit SILVERWARE. Kristin Stubbs' representative is up 3lb for scoring over 7f here last month and, fairly versatile in regards to trip, the C&D winner won't mind going back up to the extended 1m and he has the bit between his teeth at the moment. The same can't be said about Capo Rosso, who make his seasonal bow, but Tom Dascombe's charge is talented and positive market vibes will inspire confidence on his return. Party Royal and Tellovoi are also noted.

Tenor was impressive in defying odds of 20-1 to score at Lingfield over 1m last week and he's respected with Adam Kirby taking over in the plate. LIFE AND TIMES and Tiger Reigns are C&D winners, though, and preference is for the former following a taking display here 12 days ago. The Medaglia gelding more than appreciated the switch to the all-weather that day and, up 5lb for his first career win, he can go from strength to strength.
