POPPY JAG has gone well the last twice in deeper contests than this and could be poised to strike for Kevin Frost. A mark of 47 is clearly there to be taken advantage of and the three-year-old evidently handles this surface well. Terri Rules did it well at Newcastle before bombing out on turf at Redcar 18 days ago, while Lord Guest seemed to enjoy wearing blinkers for the first time at Yarmouth recently and could do better now handicapping.

TEEPEE TIME made a promising return to action when fourth in a competitive race over course and distance 10 days ago and could go well with that effort under his belt. Back on a winning mark, he looks sure to be given a positive ride and could account for Glamorous Rocket, who fell into a hole when trying to make all over this trip at Bath last time. Celerity outran odds of 66-1 at Chelmsford last time and looks best of the remainder.

Attain did it well at Lingfield last time and the suspicion has always been that he is better at this venue than here, while a 6lb rise won't make life easy for the nine-year-old. Spiritual Man wasn't suited by firm ground at Bath last time and should appreciate this more forgiving terrain, but this can go the way of MY FANTASEA. A solid performer here before misfiring on turf last month, he can continue his progression back on Tapeta under Richard Kingscote.

THA'IR has won three times out of six over the course and distance and looks set for another leading role as he is reunited with Oisin Murphy in the saddle, having romped home by six lengths the last time the pair join forces. Les Landes second Barwick drops in trip having struggled at Epsom at the weekend and cheekpieces could help, while all-weather specialist Monsieur Jimmy is respected back on the synthetics.

GILDED HOUR got off the mark last time at Chepstow and the Bated Breath filly has a solid chance of following up from just 5lb higher in the ratings here, having yet to finish out of the top three in four outings. New headgear could inspire improvement in both Ziarah and Dutch Monarch, while Dance On The Day scored over this track and trip two starts ago and was only beaten a neck last time when tried over further.

Artieshow has an experience and race-fitness edge over Elegiac and MOVE SWIFTLY, who both won on their latest outings as juveniles. Marco Botti's charge sets the standard boasting a rating of 87, but he was forced to play a supporting role behind William Haggas' charge at Chelmsford in December and is no better off at the weights here. Mark Johntson's Elegiac won easily at Newcastle last November and is another to note.

CARIBBEAN SPRING proved his second-placed effort at Lingfield in April was no fluke when winning comfortably over C&D last month and, just 3lb higher in the weights now, another bold showing looks assured. Black Truffle is a three-time course scorer who rarely runs badly and he joins the likes of Final Attack, who arrives in good nick, and Mount Cheiron on the shortlist.
