Winthorpe has been knocking on the door for some time and must have a chance off today's mark while Silver Dane, just 4lb higher than his winning mark, is another in form. However, it's worth taking a chance here with MISARO, a useful sort in sellers. This isn't much tougher and the handicapper has given him a great opportunity here.

Meikle Barfil has run well in handicap company but can't get his head in front. Lake Chini has claims on last year's form but was well beaten on his seasonal reappearance this month while El Potro may need the run after a long break. KITCHEN SINK is knocking on the door and first-time blinkers could help him break his duck.

MR RIGSBY won like a seasoned campaigner on his debut in a similar contest over C&D last month. He could well have improved for the run and is impossible to oppose here. Emily, making her all-weather debut, has some useful form in better company and looks the danger while Hi Katriona could run well on her second try on an artifical surface.

Acomb, with four wins under his belt this season, is in cracking form and should be thereabouts. But it's worth taking a chance on FLUSHING MEADOWS, a rare runner here for Godolphin. His UK turf form is dire but he's won twice on dirt in the States and ran in a Grade 1 event at Belmont. That form would be easily good enough here.

Mi Odds is well weighted on his old form but recent efforts have been poor and time may have caught up with him by now. Platinum Charmer has a 6lb penalty for his Pontefract win but can't be ruled out. BETHANYS BOY is up 3lb for a narrow 1m4f win here but was running on strongly and, over an extra two furlongs today, can follow up.

C&D winners Tranquilizer and Greenmeadow are up 3lb and 4lb respectively but can't be ruled out. Thirsk winner Witwatersrand tackles handicap company for the first time but has strong claims. She might find one too good in BRACKLINN, a C&D winner who scored over 1m2f at Brighton last time. She's up 4lb but should be suited by this trip.
