NO DIGGITY ran with promise on his yard debut when fifth here last month and the application of first-time cheekpieces, along with a step up in distance, can help him be competitive in what appears to be a winnable contest on paper. Well Prepared stayed on into fourth over C&D last month, having not benefited from being bumped at the start, and the gelding is likely to be in the mix, along with recent course winner Hooflepuff.

HELLAVAPACE has been in consistent form over the past few months and the filly is capable of going one better following her recent second at Lingfield. Baron Slick has to be of interest on his handicap debut with the booking of William Buick a notable one, while Diamond Jill returns from a short break after running well on a couple of occasions earlier in the summer.

Charlie Appleby's team couldn't be in better form at present and his newcomer, SECRET IMAGE, makes plenty of appeal. A half-brother to Gold Town, a winner of the UAE 2000 Guineas, the son of Dark Angel is taken to make a winning debut with the main threat potentially coming from Night Of Luxury, who boasts a Group 1 entry later in the year. Others to note are Udaberri and Dream Harder.

ASTAROTH arrives in a rich vein of form, having won two of his last three outings, and the Jamie Osborne-trained juvenile gets the nod to add another win to that tally stepping up in trip. Whitcliffe has been knocking on the door on his three appearances and he rates the most immediate danger with the assistance of William Buick in the saddle, while Mezzanotte is another to consider.

In a competitive contest marginal preference goes to BE EASY, who made an encouraging reappearance over this trip when fourth at Lingfield. The four-year-old hit the line with plenty of conviction on that occasion and she could take a step forward off 1lb lower. Flying Standard ran a gallant race to finish second from the rear of the field on his latest outing and he demands the utmost respect stepping up in trip. Retrospect is yet to get off the mark but is another to consider.

MOTORIOUS has been extremely progressive this campaign and broke his duck in commanding style at the fifth time of asking. It's fair to say he has been somewhat unlucky to only have one victory to his name and, considering his previous form had been advertised handsomely, an 8lb rise may be unable to stop him in his tracks. Course-and-distance winner Frow is capable of mounting a bold challenge, while Echo Beach completes the shortlist.

It was a red-hot novice stakes contest in which NOMASEE, who finished fifth on debut, is a fascinating player stepping up a furlong for his second start. Astral Beat and Pure Charmer are rated 69 and 66 respectively and both merit close consideration, while William Buick interestingly rides David O'Meara's newcomer Liangel Hope and he is worth a market check at least.

William Buick clearly wants another go on TWICE AS LIKELY after the pair went down by the narrowest of margins over 6f at Lingfield last month. The Tamayuz filly now returns to the scene of her last couple of wins and looks sure to play a leading role. I'm Watching You also likes it here and should make his presence felt, while Captain Ryan and Jorvik Prince are others to note.
