Activity is one to note in the betting on only his seventh career start, but he's yet to race further than 7 furlongs and could be worth opposing. Dapple Dawn and Parkview Love warrant respect having both gone close in their respective latest outings at Southwell last week, but TOPIARY TED is of more interest. Hughie Morrison's charge won well despite a poor start over C&D last month and may well defy a 7lb rise in the weights if in a similar mood this afternoon.

NEW WORLD ORDER was out of his depth in the Group 2 Beresford Stakes at The Curragh in October but had shown plenty of promise in two previous efforts and could prove the one to beat on his UK debut in this company. Sir Mark Prescott's Varya is expected to come on for last week's Lingfield debut, but the returning Great Explorer could pose the selection most problems.

A competitive heat which can go to Mark Johnston's MELPOMENE. She's barely put a foot wrong since her return to action in August last year and should appreciate another slight step up in trip and make a successful hat-trick bid. Tranquilizer doesn't know how to run a bad race here and should be thereabouts, along with Market Watcher as he reverts to a sharper trip.

ROWE PARK highlighted his ability when collaring the front-running Almaty Express late in the day to complete a hat-trick over C&D last month and despite being worse off with that rival this afternoon, he's expected to take another step up the ladder and come out on top again. Gifted Lass is in a rich vein of form and can't be ignored with further improvement expected.

Desert Opal has been well-placed to register three C&D victories since November, but he's up 9lb for his latest win and the handicapper may have his measure now. Dig Deep, Tartatartufata and Magic Glade are likely to take a hand in the finish again, but a chance is taken on SMOKIN BEAU who returns to what is arguably his best trip and receives a few handy pounds from the assessor after his latest effort over 6f.

This can go to ISLAND GREEN who could prove well treated on his handicap debut following two decent outings in banded company. He's clearly on an upward curve and could take some pegging back in this field. Bobering needs his very best to feature, while recent Kempton winner Over To You Bert should be able to make his presence felt.
