Chester Aristocrat comes into this in good heart and he should give another good account along with Who's Shirl, who was third over this C&D last time. Dark Lane and Big Wave are also considered and Handheld is worth a second look but a tentative verdict goes the way of DUKE OF ARICABEAU. He shaped as though the step up to 7f would suit when fourth over 6f here last time and he could improve for the application of blinkers. The booking of Adam Kirby is another positive.

Loyal N Trusted has been performing consistently well and there is no reason why he will not run his race and be in the shake-up once more. Fayr Fall should also be thereabouts and Satwa Laird is respected but a tentative verdict goes to BAJAN BEAR. He performed with credit when fourth behind Idler at Newmarket last month and that form is working out nicely. He could take all the beating on his all-weather debut, providing he takes to polytrack.

MIDNIGHT FLOWER was narrowly denied when runner-up over 6f here last time and with the step up to 7f likely to suit, she is fancied to go one better this evening. Al Manaal should improve for her debut experience and could take a hand in the finish if doing so. Footstepsintherain is closely related to some useful performers and any confidence behind him on his debut would be a big positive.

SUNNY SIDE UP found only Kellys Eye too good over 5f at Pontefract last month and with the step up to 6f no problem, she could prove a tough nut to crack. Chiswick Bey disappointed last time but he has claims on the form of his win prior to that. Thirteen Shivers is also respected and Impel has possibilities on the form of his Kempton third last month. Rasaman could also get involved.

AMOURE MEDICI confirmed his recent well-being with a game C&D success last time and an 8lb rise may not be enough to stop him if he arrives in the same stubborn mood tonight. Sutton Veny ought to give a good account lining up off the same mark as when runner-up over track and trip eight days ago, while Bop It and Noverre To Go are others worthy of consideration.

GEORGE FENTON stepped up on a couple of solid placed efforts when scoring gamely in testing conditions at Hamilton latest and, having won on this polytrack surface earlier in the year, he is fancied to defy a 3lb rise in the handicap and strike again. Verus Delicia was never able to recover from a slow start at Ffos Las most recently and, having impressively notched up a double prior to that, she can be give another chance here, while Lord Franklin is no forlorn hope.

DARK DUNE edges the vote vote in what looks a fairly competitive event. He ran right up to somewhere near his best when runner-up in a class 3 handicap at Catterick last time and an impressive two length success over C&D some 12 months ago shows that he's equally as effective on this surface. Borug is worthy of consideration arriving on the back of a comfortable victory at Epsom, while Den Maschine and Spensley also have claims.

Parque Atlantico has been knocking on the door and looks sure to be in the mix once again, while Pass The Time warrants plenty of respect having won in determined fashion on testing ground at Folkestone last time. The vote, however, goes to FIRST GLANCE. Michael Appleby's charge showed a similarly likeable attitude when striking over 1m at Bath latest (third has won since) and a 3lb rise may not be enough to stop him completing the double.
