CAPELITA was deemed good enough to contest the October Stakes on her second career outing at Ascot a fortnight ago and wasn't disgraced in finishing midfield in a competitive renewal of the Listed contest. The daughter of Cape Cross is clearly pleasing connections at home and must be respected now pitched back into maiden company. Quick Touch can put his experience to good use and should be thereabouts, while Qatar Princess is closely matched with Robert Cowell's charge on official ratings so she's noted as well.

AUTUMNS BLUSH, pitched into Listed company at Newbury on her third career start, makes most appeal and can build on her latest Bath effort when she finished a close-up fourth off 1lb higher. It could be significant that Adam Kirby takes over in the plate and she's open to further progress. Poetic Choice is one of three C&D winners and must be taken seriously, while Medam's best form is on a synthetic surface and she shouldn't be far away either.

ROCK OF LEON finished a close-up third over 2m at Nottingham three starts back, so should get this trip, and his latest second-placed effort over 1m4f here suggests the track shouldn't inconvenience him either. Michael Bell's charge ticks plenty of boxes at the foot of the weights and a bold performance looks assured. May Hay went well at Catterick 11 days ago and is another to consider, while Black Iceman finished second over track and trip latest and is overlooked at your peril.

PIM STREET won over C&D two starts back and lost little in defeat when stepped up in class for a handicap at Haydock last time, in which she finished a good fourth. The switch back to Polytrack should suit her given she's two wins from nine on the all-weather and a mark of 62 remains feasible. Black Dave rarely runs a bad race here and boasts claims going back up in distance, while it could be worth keeping Outlaw Torn onside too.

In a wide open contest GONE DUTCH shades the vote after shaping with plenty of promise behind a promising sort at Kempton last time out. James Fanshawe's charge was short of room at a key stage in that contest and granted a clear passage here, she should go mightily close. Plenty of dangers, with Plutocracy expected to go well on her return from a break. Xinbama has been running well in some hot handicaps this season and is respected, while Hunting Ground and Ragged Robbin complete the shortlist.

STAR ANISE took the step up to 1m4f in her stride last time when out running out an easy winner over C&D. She is unexposed at the trip and open to more improvement than the majority of her rivals and can follow-up that success. Zinnobar has been in red-hot form recently and is sure to be on the premises once again. Admirable veteran Giant Sequoia is entitled to respect, though he is possibly to high in the weights for win purposes. Cabuchon and Rowlestone Lass are others to note.

MAY QUEEN has looked an improved performer since tackling handicaps and she looks to have been found a golden opportunity to land her first success. Chris Wall's filly is a strong traveller and the drop back in trip shouldn't pose a problem. Thomas Blossom looks the main danger, though he will have to step up on his most recent effort when a well held fifth in order to take this. Noble Reach and Avidly also merit consideration.

STANLOW was denied victory in the last strides over track and trip last time and he can gain compensation off a 2lb higher mark. He had Poor Duke well held in behind that day and that rival won in good style on his next start to give the form some substance. The selection is fancied to uphold the form and gain a deserved success in the process. Ferryview Place can get involved if bouncing back from a below par effort at Kempton, while Jazri looks best of the remainder.
