In this competitive contest marginal preference goes to KRYSTAL MAZE, who emphatically dismissed his rivals on his seasonal reappearance last time out. The daughter of Kodiac may be able to continue her ascendancy and gets the nod to land the spoils off 6lb higher. Bbob Alula arrives on the hunt for successive victories and merits consideration, while Boy George is another to consider.

Although he failed to fire last time out, GLORIOUS CHARMER remains just 1lb above his last winning mark and gets the tentative vote to add another win to his tally. The six-year-old had been consistently running with credit over C&D and may bounce back to form in this contest. Jack Ryan got within a neck of completing a 6f double at Southwell on Sunday and demands respect, while Griggy is another to consider.

Haveyoumissedme was largely progressive last term and merits plenty of consideration on his seasonal reappearance, but his record after an absence leaves plenty to be desired and it may be best to look elsewhere. With that in mind, it could pay dividends to opt for PEARL BEACH, who recorded a career-best effort when landing the spoils at Newcastle last time. The five-year-old mare may be able to hit the ground running, while Tribal Art completes the shortlist.

LADY LABELLE stayed on strongly to make a winning debut over 1m2f at Chelmsford in December and she is likely to improve for this extra yardage. The daughter of The Gurkha makes her stable debut for Andrew Balding, having formerly been trained by Sylvester Kirk, and is fancied to complete the double. Stay Alert made a pleasing debut at Lingfield and she can improve on that here, while Golden Glance is an interesting newcomer.

SPIRITED GUEST is a likeable, consistent gelding and, despite being off the track for 200 days, the past course scorer looks like the one they all have to beat in this contest. King's Knight has been lowered 1lb since finishing fifth at Kempton and it would come as no surprise to see him go close, while Mellys Flyer certainly isn't out of it either.

VINTAGE CHOICE had a subsequent scorer behind him when running out a determined winner at Redcar last September and his form stands up the closet inspection when going back to his third in the Convivial Maiden on debut. Encourageable shaped very well first time out at Doncaster last month and he must enter calculations along with Glory Nights, who is likely to improve for a modest effort at Kempton. Awaal appeals the most of the newcomers.

MAJOR GATSBY wasn't beaten far in his attempt for the hat-trick at Kempton last time out and a return to this track can serve him well, having won his on his last two attempts over C&D. Twilight Revenge is 7lb better off for a three-and-a-half-length defeat at the hands of Above It All at Kempton last month, and he is taken to overturn that form here. Lordman is interesting on his first start for new connections, along with Between The Sheets.
