Nicola Currie was aboard BLESSED TO EMPRESS the last time Amy Murphy's filly got her head in front and having only been beaten a nose over this trip when last seen, she looks primed to return to the winner's enclosure off the same mark. Anif scored nicely at Lingfield last month but is arguably better over a mile, while Aljunood has the chance to build on his course and distance third off the same rating.

Designated made an encouraging debut over this trip at Kempton and Clive Cox's filly could have plenty more to offer, while Paddy's Pursuit is another who could build on a solid opening showing having finished fifth at Lingfield. Mark Johnson's Wanaasah is related to a pair of useful winners and could get involved. However, preference is for LIBERATION DAY, who has shown plenty of ability in both outings so far and looks set to open his account now upped in trip to seven furlongs.

A SURE WELCOME followed up his narrow 6f defeat here in December with a nose victory over the same track and trip recently and shaped as if this drop in distance may suit. He's taken to defy a 2lb rise from his low draw. Entertaining Ben returned to form with a solid 5f second at Lingfield last time and has solid place claims off an unchanged mark, while it would come as no surprise to see Becker (a beaten favourite on two of his last three outings) stay on late to pick up some minor money under Luke Morris.

THE WAY YOU DANCE has won two of his last three and was a worthy scorer at Kempton when last seen in July after surviving a stewards' enquiry. A 2lb rise looks fair for those exertions and he ran well fresh last year when second to the progressive Bailarico at Chepstow last May. Your Band won by a whopping 14 lengths at Chelmsford last time but has gone up 9lb for the in-form Jamie Osborne, while Blazon looks best of the remainder.

UM SHAMA has not been disgraced in any of her starts since joining this yard and this appears to be an ideal opportunity for the three-year-old to earn her second career victory. Precision Prince hit the crossbar when last seen at Lingfield and he could pose the biggest threat to the selection, ahead of handicap debutant Power Of Life.

Times Past has produced some consistent efforts in defeat since winning at Southwell three starts ago and looks a danger to all, while Black Medick won well at Lingfield last time and could go well despite a 3lb hike. However, preference is for LADY COSETTE, who followed up a good second over a mile at Kempton with a close-up fourth over this trip at Lingfield. Down 1lb here, she could go well.

APEX PREDATOR has impressively notched a C&D/Kempton double and a further 3lb rise in the ratings probably won't be enough to stop him completing the hat-trick. Music Major has gone down by narrow margins the last twice and he can show up well again in first-time cheekpieces, while Warofindependence and Iley Boy are both past track-and-trip scorers with an each-way chance in this contest.

CAPTAIN RYAN will arrive brimming with confidence following a couple of C&D victories earlier in the month and he can defy a further 4lb rise. Storm Lightning was only a length behind the selection, finishing fifth, in the first of those races and he is likely to give another good account, while Pranceabootthetoon won't be underestimated this time after finishing third at 33/1 last time.
