BAJAN BANDIT has by and large held his form well from midsummer onwards and has made the frame at Newcastle twice since winning there last month. All three of those appearances came over a mile, but he occupied the runner-up position over C&D back in July so there should be no excuses on that score. Symphony Of Joy has shown enough to suggest he is capable of shedding his maiden tag sooner rather than later, although Eighty Eight is feared more on his first start for James Owen.

Show Me Glory had to settle for second when sent off even-money at Kempton, although there was nothing wrong with the performance. Constella and Cartography made promising debuts, while Unfurled cost 150,000gns as a yearling and is a fascinating newcomer, but the vote goes to AMBIENCE. The daughter of Frankel left a disappointing introduction behind on the back of a break and wind surgery when chasing home a beautifully-bred filly over C&D and she can go one better.

The standard set by those to have raced isn't great, but BOY BASILICA was fancied to do better than he did at Kempton and is given another chance. Richard Hughes' youngster should appreciate the rise from 7f, as a son of St Mark's Basilica, and Billy Loughnane has been booked. Oisin Murphy gets the leg-up on Zeuster, who is one of two newcomers from the Hughie Morrison stable, while the Ed Dunlop-trained Australia gelding Joseph Banks is worth a look too.

RIDGER hasn't looked back since returning to the all-weather, winning over C&D last month before following up at Kempton. Ollie Sangster's gelding is another 5lb higher, but is evidently on a steep upward curve and can complete his hat-trick. On Key struck the woodwork over 6f last time and won't mind the return to further, while the veteran Saisons D'Or is weighted to close the gap on the selection having been no match for him in second last time.

Midnight's Dream goes in search of his hat-trick and has the services of Billy Loughnane for the first time, but DISTILLATE attempts to complete a three-timer of her own and shades preference. The mare struck at Southwell before following up with ease over the same C&D under a penalty, and she looks to hold outstanding claims because she's actually 2lb lower than for that apprentice handicap triumph. Recent track-and-trip winner Lady Delila might also have a say.

BESSIE WALLIS came close to a second career success when beaten a neck at Brighton, but she gets in here off the same mark and is fancied to gain some compensation. Territorial Star produced an improved display to hit the frame at Newcastle and a reproduction would give her every chance. Although Barry The Worm failed to supplement his course success at Southwell, he might be happier back at this venue.

PRODIGAL SON kept on gamely to win the Amateur Jockeys' Cambridgeshire at Newmarket last month and can prove that wasn't a fluke if showing the same level of determination off 3lb higher. He needs to better his previous form on the all-weather and the unexposed Fahidi could be a big danger given his potential to go forward on just his third start in a handicap. Made All, a previous C&D winner, and the class-dropping Tabasko are other capable players.

Although 7lb higher than for his selling handicap success at Southwell, punters can be rewarded for sticking with ROI DE COEUR. Marco Botti's gelding was impressive in victory that day and still has the potential to do much better on a synthetic surface this winter. That probably can't be said for the eight-year-old Kaaranah, but he still merits respect having hit the woodwork over C&D earlier this month. Market support for handicap newcomer Hozam would be noteworthy.

This won't take much winning and MACANUDO might be able to continue his fine run of form. Ian Williams' charge came up short in his hat-trick bid at Brighton, but Billy Loughnane gets back in the saddle now and is expected to get the best out of him. Sands of Seve didn't run too badly at Newcastle and is capable of being on the premises, as is The Bear Of Saints, who showed a bit more when third at Ffos Las.
