The betting will provide clues as to what is expected of David Barron's interesting newcomer Doubtful Sound but it is probably wise to stick with previous experience. BOLD INDIAN has shown a good level of form on his two British starts to date, both over this C&D, and he could go one better than when a close second earlier this month. Ian Semple has his team in decent order and this looks a weak opportunity to get off the mark. Play Straight is another worth considering.

Haroldini is in great shape at the moment but he has more on his plate now stepped out of banded company. After returning to something like her former self last time, PRETTILINI could be ready to take advantage of what appears to be a handy mark. Roy Brotherton's charge is now 8lb lower than her last winning handicap mark and has plenty of form at this venue with two course wins to her name. Another Gladiator looks best of the rest.

Stargazy has some decent turf form to his name but his efforts on polytrack are not as impressive and ESTIMATOR gets the nod. Pat Eddery's charge landed a Kempton maiden at the first time of asking earlier this month and can go in again on his handicap debut. Billy Ruffian, a winner over 5f here on his penultimate start, rates best of the remainder.

City For Conquest has dropped to a fair mark at present but she showed little at Lingfield last time and this might concern Figaro Flyer and HELLO MAN. The latter was nailed close home by Ian Mongan's mount over C&D earlier this month but reopposes on 1lb better terms and can gain his revenge.

KILGARY takes a further step up in trip after finishing second over 1m2f at Kempton last time and Jeremy Noseda's charge will be all the rage to lose her maiden tag here. Foursquare Flyer and Sweet Medicine look most likely to be fighting it out for the minor places.

Davenport has been running well in defeat and cannot be dismissed with any confidence, but it might pay to choose between JUST BOND and Magical Music who are bidding to complete C&D hat tricks under 6lb penalties. Preference is for the latter who has looked extremely progressive since returning to this surface.
