It is hard to oppose MOHAWK KING, who has not been disgraced in a pair of Group 2 contests since making a winning debut in July. With his sights lowered today the son of Siyouni should be very hard to beat. Hemmsa may struggle against the selection but she has shown promise in both of her previous outings and should be in the mix for the minor honours. Glinbury cost 48,000gns last year and he merits a market inspection on his racecourse debut.

LAUDED disappointed last time but he was third to the subsequent Middle Park winner Supremacy in the Richmond Stakes in July and he is clearly the one they all have to beat in this contest. Ibn Arabi took a step forwards when second over C&D earlier in the month and he could make the frame, while Mutaraafeq is entitled to improve for his first outing.

HAVE TO HAVE has improved with every start to date and she only found the recent Newmarket winner Mystery Angel too good over C&D last time. The fourth from that race has also won since, which suggests that this filly may be underestimated by an opening mark of 59. Gypsy Boy put in a career best when third at Lingfield last time and he should not be overlooked. Others to consider are Infinite Beauty and No Leci.

ANIMAL INSTINCT bumped into a useful rival when second at Chelmsford recently and that followed two victories at the same venue. The three-year-old has to be respected off the same mark today, especially as he may improve for first-time cheekpieces. Impatient has been knocking on the door in recent outings and should go well once again. Others with valid form claims are Badri, Sansevero and Sermon.

TORONADO QUEEN benefited from the drop back to a mile when scoring in great style at Leicester last week and Ray Dawson's 5lb claim will aid her cause as she turns out quickly under a penalty. Sir Hamilton went close on his most recent outing at Lingfield and is likely to be in the mix, while Street Poet is of interest having run much better when fourth on his latest course appearance.

LOVER'S MOON has stepped forward on her last couple of starts having placed at both Yarmouth and Kempton and the switch to a first-time visor might just make the difference required for Hugo Palmer's filly to get off the mark. Bavardages can bounce back as he returns to the scene of his C&D success on his penultimate start, while Secratario warrants respect after a three-month absence.

TUSCAN OASIS may have found the stiff finish against her at Ascot when finishing out of the frame for the first time in her career and the filly is taken to bounce back on this occasion. Gold Brocade has been knocking on the door recently and she is likely to enter calculations once again, while others to note include Inevitable Outcome and Anna Of Lorraine.

GLOBAL HUMOR has improved on his last couple of starts over C&D, wining on his penultimate outing before following that up with a second-placed effort and the five-year-old is expected to go one better on this occasion. Blessed To Empress returned to winning ways at Chelmsford last month and she is respected along with You're Cool, who finished fourth here over 5f earlier in the month.

FREEDOM AND WHEAT ran out a cosy winner over course and distance when dropped back in trip last time and the manner of that success suggests the four-year-old could follow up despite a 6lb rise. Critical Thinking battled to victory here over further earlier this month but won't mind returning to 7f, a distance he has won over in the past. Cape Greco, The Big House and Kodikova's latest efforts entitle them to a place on the shortlist also.
