John Ferguson has his string in great nick at the moment and CAYMAN ISLANDS can continue the stable's fine run of form. Lightly raced over the larger obstacles and second when last sighted at Perth over this trip, he is clearly none the worse for a heavy fall here in July and Alex Ferguson claims a valuable 7lb in the plate. Set List is open to plenty of improvement going chasing for the first time, and Rayak was a winner on the level at Chepstow last month.

ITTIRAD will be a warm order and is difficult to oppose. A progressive handicap hurdler this summer and narrowly denied at Perth when in search of a four-timer last month, John Ferguson's charge is expected to have been well readied for this first start over the larger obstacles in the schooling ring at home and is by far and away the pick of these on timber form. Lyric Street and Shaky Gift are expected to put up most resistance.

KAYLA displayed significant improvement to win a Towcester bumper in April and she makes plenty of appeal going hurdling for the first time. Expected to have been the subject of a schooling session or two in the interim period, she is more experienced than most of these mares and should go very close. Brenda De Ronceray looks the main danger judged on her third-placed effort at Newton Abbot, and Northern Meeting completes the shortlist.

HUNT BALL has looked full of confidence since he was switched to hurdles at Fakenham in May and is difficult to oppose following a taking C&D triumph last time out. A 10-time career winner including success at the Cheltenham Festival in 2012, Nicky Henderson's inmate is the class horse in the race and can successfully concede weight to these rivals. Mont Choisy is no stranger to success around here having won a bumper and maiden hurdle in recent months and he is noted along with She's Late.

STAND TO REASON remains fairly unexposed in this sphere and the former Nicky Henderson inmate restored his confidence with a six-length triumph at Stratford in July. An 8lb rise for that smooth success seems fair and there could be more to come given he's three wins from just five starts over timber. King Muro wasn't winning out of turn at Bangor and seems to have improved for the recently-applied tongue-tie. Ladies Dancing is another expected to go well.

LEE SIDE LADY looked some way clear of her rating of 90 when bolting up at Fontwell on her handicap debut last month and a mere 3lb rise seems lenient to say the least. The step up to 2m4f can ensure Neil Mulholland's mare remains a step ahead of the handicapper, and the point-to-point winner is difficult to get away from. Bus Named Desire and Iktiview, who ran well here for the bronze medal two starts back, are expected to put up most resistance.

MOUNT VESUVIUS looks to have been found a decent opening and is just 2lb higher than when second to Grams And Ounces at Stratford two starts back. Fourth off this mark at Huntingdon subsequently, the seven-year-old wasn't disgraced that day and without taking anything away from these rivals, this is easier. Prince Of Poets is a lightly-raced Lingfield bumper winner who must be taken seriously given his connections, while Barton Antix rates best of the rest.
