Jo Arengeot Bey Aa arrives in decent form and finished third at Sedgefield a day after Man Oh Man found one too good over hurdles at Newton Abbot. BROADWAY HONEY also switches from the smaller obstacles and may take the necessary step forward for it because she is a half-sister to the yard's former high-class chaser Broadway Boy. Izzy's Grey was disappointing at Uttoxeter last time, but warrants consideration on his previous second at the same venue.
KENZO DES BRUYERES didn't take to chasing earlier this summer but he returned to form over hurdles here last time and returns to chasing off a lower mark. The multiple point winner is worth another chance in this discipline particularly if some rain arrives. He is picked ahead of Jo Arengeot Bey AA who was a chase winner earlier in the spring. He didn't run badly last time and the addition of a visor could sharpen up his jumping. Man Oh Man failed to win over hurdles but he did bounce back to form when runner up last time and can also play a part if taking to the discipline.

Competitive fare, despite the small field, but YOUDECIDE has been much improved since returning from a break and is worth sticking with on his hat-trick mission. Glen To Glen made a successful beginning to life with Nick Scholfield at Perth, while Crebilly returned to fences with a solid Stratford second. Snipe occupied the same position at Newton Abbot when switching back to handicaps from the hunter chase ranks, and C&D winner Karnaval Point won't be far away either.
All of the quintet can be given a chance here. Hat trick seeker Youdecide is likely to prove popular given his latest victory has been franked and he had plenty in hand. However he is 8lb higher and his best form has come at sharper tracks. Karnaval Point has been in excellent form for his stable after moving from France and is already a C&D winner. He wouldn't mind the forecast rain and could progress again but narrow preference is for CREBILLY who is the class angle in the race. He only just failed to take advantage of a much reduced mark last time where he was given an overly negative ride but can make amends off the same rating.

DELULU was easy to back, but so nearly made a successful start to her career over C&D. The performance was all the more meritorious considering she struck trouble at a crucial stage and she had a length in hand over the third-placed Spanish Darling, who had the benefit of a couple of point-to-point wins under his belt. Megatothemax has a hood fitted after failing to build on a pleasing introduction on her first appearance for the Frosts at Sedgefield.
DELULU was an unlucky loser first time out as she was left with too much to do after meeting trouble at a key stage. She should have much more to offer her top yard and is picked to gain compensation. Dual point winner Spanish Darling also finished strongly when placing on his debut and will be the biggest threat if getting a stiff test. Jaunty Trooper went off at a big price but ran well for a long way last time and could fill the podium if building on that.

LOCK STOCK displayed plenty of promise on his first couple of starts over timber before disappointing at Kempton on Boxing Day. While it is concerning he bled from the nose on that occasion, the six-year-old has been given plenty of time to recover and could prove a tough nut to crack on his first appearance for a new yard. Fellow stable debutant Sytadel is a fascinating hurdling newcomer for Dan Skelton and he's feared most, while market support for Action Replay would be interesting too.
LOCK STOCK is picked to defy an absence and make a winning stable debut. His debut form has worked out well and sets a clear standard so he should be able to take advantage of this drop in class. Sytadel was a winner on the Flat in France and looks a big danger starting out over hurdles for his top stable. Teleleo was successful at this track in a bumper and should also be bang there if taking to hurdling.

FOREST SPIRIT took a step in the right direction when third here over 2m4f last month and the manner of that performance suggested that going up in distance was worth trying again. Athena's Dream may benefit from a first-time visor and is capable of another decent showing after a string of consistent efforts. Brionywells and Could Be You appeal most of the remainder.
COULD BE YOU is yet to deliver on his debut promise but he was still travelling strongly when coming down just before the race developed last time on his first start after a wind op. The former pointer could appreciate this longer trip and is worth chancing off this basement mark. Longstanding maiden Crafty Gael had dropped to a dangerous mark judged on his Irish efforts prior to his runner up effort here last time. He's not fully exposed for his top stable and looks the main danger stepping up in trip. Another who has to prove her stamina is Forest Spirit but she did finish well here over 2 1/2m here last time so could also make her presence felt.

BERRY EDGE was heading in the right direction when trained by David Thompson and there is every chance that Dan Skelton can improve him further. The eight-year-old was last seen posting a solid third at Wetherby in March and he makes plenty of appeal on his stable bow off an unchanged mark. Sweet Serene ended her last campaign with a breakthrough victory at Exeter and market support on her return to action may prove the best guide. Jessie Jump Jet could also feature in first-time blinkers.
HARRY GULLIVER ran a big race last time proving his ability remains after a lay off and he would've been a fair bit closer but for a late error. He's now just 3lb above his sole winning mark and with the step back up in distance in his favour he could spring a surprise. The Skeltons have enjoyed success this summer with some new recruits and Berry Edge looks the main challenger on his first start for the yard after a wind op. He was in excellent form when last seen in the spring and remains relatively unexposed over this far. Consistent maiden Jessie Jump Jet can fill the places in the first time blinkers if getting a stiff test at the trip.

Bathara has some fair bumper form to his name and his latest third at Warwick was easily his best effort over hurdles. An opening mark of 97 could prove to be lenient and he must be taken seriously. However, TRAVELING SOLDIER has returned to form since being fitted with a visor over fences at Southwell in June and he lost little in defeat when second to a subsequent winner here the following month. Reverting to timber off an unchanged mark, he edges the vote. Ikigai Star is the pick of the remainder.
Bumper winner BATHARA can gain a first hurdles victory on his handicap debut. He took a big step forward on his final qualifying run when ridden positively and has the potential for an easy lead here. Traveling Soldier is the likeliest to challenge him up front and if replicating his recent chase efforts he will also be the main challenger t the finish. Usyk shaped with promise in maidens and is a likely improver now handicapping over longer trips so may complete the places.
