Expert Analysis
Quite a straightforward race to assess, second/third and to a degree fourth/fifth seeming to run to form behind the very impressive winner. The early pace was steady but better than that from before halfway and it essentially posed a decent test on ground that was on the soft side of good to soft, the winner’s final 4f of 59.51s equal to a finishing speed of 102.5%.
FINAL DEMAND (h155+ here, 138+ previously) was very impressive in accounting for some useful rivals hands down, having taken a much lesser race at Limerick in exemplary style, tracking the pace travelling strongly, looming up after 2 out and leading approaching the last, then storming clear having jumped that flight only 2 lengths to the good, merely pushed out. He is the one to beat in novice hurdles at 20f+, though only just ahead of The Yellow Clay on ratings, with plenty more to come from him in all probability.
WINGMEN (h144 here and previously) ran well, beaten slightly further by Final Demand than he had been by The Yellow Clay, disputing/leading and quickly recovering from a blunder at the 7th, driven and finding more from between the last 2 but soon headed and shown a clean pair of heels by the impressive winner. He should stay 24f, and is a chaser on looks.
MOZZIES SISTER (h133 here, 132 previously) ran right up to her best while fading late having been up with the pace until after 2 out. She is proving tough and reliable.
JASMIN DE VAUX (h139 here, 143 previously) ran respectably but still needs to brush up his jumping, kept wide for sight of the hurdles but less than fluent before moving up from mid-field to challenge after 3 out, outpaced thereafter.
SOUNDS VICTORIUS (h136+ here, 133 previously) is learning steadily over hurdles and is likely to improve again, possibly a fair bit, when tried at 24f+. He raced close up but got outpaced after 3 out before rallying late in the day.
WORLD OF FORTUNES (h125 here, 135 previously) looked like finishing out the back when short of room and losing her place 4 out but passed a few late for a respectable effort.
SOMMESKY (h125 here, 129 previously)
I AM LORENZO (h0 here, 138 previously) made a few mistakes and ran poorly.
PRAY TELL (h0 here, 137 previously)
JOYSTICK (h0 here, 131 previously)
SPORTING GLORY (h0 here, 134 previously)
SUPERSUNDAE (h0 here, 146 previously) had place claims at the least but stopped quickly after 3 out. He may not be easy to train and did not help his cause by taking a strong hold here also.
