Verdict
COME ON THE LADS looks on a competitive mark now trying handicap company over fences. The Elzaam gelding ran well on his chase debut at Fairyhouse back in October and was a bit outclassed behind Fleur In The Park at Wexford subsequently. This is more his level. Marelly has been in decent form over timber and is comparatively well treated over fences so must be noted. Mount Frisco was in fine form prior to a lacklustre display here and can't be written off.
Expert View Verdict
MARELLY is yet to win over fences but he has bounced back to form over hurdles of late and returns to chasing off a lower mark. He was a winner off this mark over hurdles at the start of the year and he's ideally suited by 2m on easy ground so could be tough to peg back. Mount Frisco did too much too soon over a stretching trip here last time but he was in excellent form at around 2m prior to that. He remains very well treated on his old form and looks the biggest danger here ahead of Come On The Lads who was let down by his jumping last time but is well treated on his hurdle form.
