Verdict

Lillistar finished a respectable third at Wetherby on her most recent start and is of interest off an unchanged rating. Balally Park remains on an appealing mark and is considered, but DEVON SKIES gets the nod. Philip Kirby's mare benefited from a change of tactics when bolting up at this course last week and, if in anything like that form, she will prove a tough nut to crack.

Expert View Verdict

The in-form LILLISTAR got her head in front on the Flat last month and followed that up with a solid placed effort back hurdling when third over slightly further at Wetherby last time. She's yet to win over hurdles but it's surely a matter of time and this may well be the day. Devon Skies is respected under a penalty, having shown a sudden improvement in form to win here last time. The more forward ride suited that day and she can again go well, while the top weight Vampire Slayer could do better now upped in trip back on better ground.
