Verdict

HESGONETHATWAY scored easily on his second handicap start earlier this month and can defy a 9lb rise. He showed big improvement to score at Naas and has similar conditions here. A Nod To Getaway's last three runs have been at this course, including an October success over fences, and he's very much respected. Happy Me is a 12-race maiden but has nice bits of form, not least his solid Limerick third over Christmas.

Expert View Verdict

This isn't as competitive as the field size suggests and can go to HESGONETHATWAY, who scooted clear to get off the mark with ease at Naas last time on just his fifth start overall and second in a handicap. He's taken a 9lb rise but looks progressive enough to cope with it. Campbell Black improved when upped in trip last time and should have more to offer now handicapping despite dropping back down to 2m. He's the danger although A Nod To Getaway is of some interest also dropped in trip on his second run back over hurdles.
