The focus turns to the improving SHOUGHALL'S BOY, who registered his second successive win at Hexham back in December, beating a subsequent winner in the process. The six-year-old may have more to offer and is favoured ahead of Rukwa, who was in excellent form at the end of last season. Lovely Moon was on the up when trained in Ireland last year and is another to note.

Cilluirid showed highly-progressive form before suffering an injury at Sedgefield on his latest start and, if fully recovered, the Tim Easterby-trained gelding should go well. However, he may have to settle for minor honours behind JUST CALL ME AL, who got off the mark over fences at that same venue last time. Can You Call remains unexposed over the larger obstacles and cannot be ruled out either.

Letthetruthbeknown defied big odds when scoring on her hurdling debut at Uttoxeter in December, travelling well and in full control close home. The daughter of Shirocco is respected but may find MISS FAIRFAX too strong here, after the Hughie Morrison-trained mare impressed when winning at Exeter last month. Those two look set to dominate, with Miss Milano probably best of the remaining two runners.

TIMBERMAN is exactly the type the Fergal O'Brien stable excels with and a 6lb rise for an easy success at Kempton in November may not be enough to stop the seven-year-old going in again. With conditions in his favour he is preferred to the likes of Kannapolis, who has not been outside the first two in his last four outings, and recent course winner Mick Maestro. First Impression is another who is well capable on his day but is in need of a revival.

OMAR MARETTI has put together quite the CV since beginning his career under Rules last year, and a fourth win from just five starts could be in the offing here as he looks to follow up a taking success at Newcastle last month. Almazhar Garde has run some crackers over further this season and the drop back in trip could see him in an even better light, while The Paddy Pie looks as though he will be well suited by going up in distance.

This can go the way of YOU WEAR IT WELL, who chased home subsequent Listed winner Mullenbeg on debut at Ludlow last month. With improvement likely from that effort, she can strike for in-form connections and fend off the challenge of Horacio Apple's, who showed improvement from his first to second start when not beaten far at Newcastle last time out. Runner-up on both career outings, Stroll On By must also enter calculations along with Monaghan Boy.
