INDIAN PURSUIT brings a decent level of the form to the table after trailing two subsequent winners over track and trip in September and shades the vote. Dacoity might emerge as a leading danger to the selection after he finished a solid third at Nottingham, but it wouldn't be a shock to see Kingsley Klarion - a half-brother to the useful Mukhmal - improve for his first competitive experience earlier this month. The debutants Roundabout Time and Flummoxed are also worth a market check.

Wowcha, a half-sister to Group 1 winner The Wow Signal, will have learnt plenty from her debut fifth at Ayr and should run well, but it might pay to side with the experience of SUNNUA. Richard Fahey's filly has displayed a fair level of ability in six starts and will prove difficult to beat if reproducing the form of her head second in a Ayr handicap last time. Becky The Thatcher is rated just 1lb lower than the selection and has a definite chance if recapturing the form of her second at Thirsk two starts ago, while Forest Lakes, Lady Canford, Lilly Vega and, at a bigger price, Arcane Dancer are others to note.

Vivacissimo is the most interesting contender on his debut for the talented Ivan Furtado and the son of Muhtathir brings good NH form to the table when previously trained by Dan Skelton. It is difficult to get away from the 93-rated ENGLISH SUMMER, though, as the C&D winner has the form in the book and should be able to successfully concede weight to these rivals if his emphatic success in the Amateur Derby at Epsom three starts ago is anything to go by. Moshe finished behind the selection at Leicester last month and he completes the shortlist.

A typically competitive renewal and it might be worth siding with recent York winner UNION ROSE, who is 6lb higher in the handicap after his success on the Knavesmire, but has gone well from this mark in the past. Adam's Ale, who sports first-time blinkers, trailed the selection on that occasion but and can get on the premises again if overcoming a wide draw. Appleberry hasn't been gifted the best of berths either, but might be dangerous to dismiss under a leading apprentice rider, and last year's runner-up Confessional might be ready to end a lengthy losing run.

STRAIT OF MAGELLAN stepped up on five consecutive placed efforts when scoring impressively over this C&D and, with that confidence booster under his belt, he gets the vote to defy a 9lb hike in the ratings. Other last-time-out winners Card High and Regal Ways warrant plenty of respect, particularly the latter who is only up 4lb for her decisive Hamilton success, and races off a handy weight. Meadow Cross' third at Galway in July looks solid form and she could surprise a few from 3lb out of the handicap, while Sellingallthetime, Next Stop and Clear Spell also hold claims.

JAY KAY's winning run came to an end at Ayr last month, but he lost nothing in defeat on that occasion and is only 3lb higher for a head defeat. He can regain the winning thread at the chief expense of Ythan Waters, who took a big step in the right direction when a half-a-length second at Carlisle on his most recent outing. Mon Brav and Cabelo hold sound claims for Brian Ellison, and Manatee Bay completes the shortlist.

GOLD CLUB looks a solid selection in an open event. Following a string of solid efforts in defeat recently, it's possible the handicapper may just have his mark but at least you can be confident of a good run. He was a neck behind Cadeaux Power last time and that rival looks a danger despite a poor run since. Best Trip isn't too badly handicapped, while Orion's Bow and Red Tycoon are others worthy of consideration.

The tentative selection goes to WEYBRIDGE LIGHT, who has been in good form all summer in both codes. His second here over 2m in August gives him a big shout and he followed that up with another solid third at Newcastle the following month. With Hindsight was in good form when last seen and he would pose a big threat if he is fully wound up after a 124-day break, while Lacerta and Funky Munky are others with chances.
