MR POCKET has finished second on both outings so far and posted the better of those efforts when beaten by under a length over this trip on debut at Windsor. A reproduction of either of those performances would probably suffice in a contest lacking strength and depth. Megan Lily is fitted with a first-time hood as she bids to improve on her Chepstow fourth last month and has place claims with Precious Plum needing to improve.

Jaarih looked on good terms with himself when winning a Thirsk seller last month and has place claims if that effort can be built upon back in a handicap. For win purposes, however, preference is for DYNAMO WALT, who could be sweeping home with a late run and is expected to go very well now eased in grade. Elusivity is respected from a good draw too.

BINT DANDY was far from disgraced when fourth in a classified stakes contest at Doncaster last time and is expected to build on that performance now back in a handicap. Maureb struck over this trip at Carlisle in June and is interesting now stepped back up in distance, having run below par over 6f at Pontefract on Wednesday. Any money for Maggie Pink would be interesting on her return from a break as she's 5lb lower than when scoring at Newbury last year.

MISTY LORD landed a 7f maiden on debut at Wolverhampton and stepped up on that effort when second over 1m at Newmarket on his handicap debut last time. Now returned to the all-weather, Marco Botti's charge is expected to get back on the winning trail. Symbolic broke her maiden by six lengths in a track and trip maiden in April and may improve for the return to this sphere after disappointing on turf. Starboard is worth a market check now also eased in grade.

ROMAN HOLIDAY confirmed the promise she displayed when midfield in a maiden at Newmarket last October with a close second at Lingfield a couple of weeks ago. She is entitled to take another step forward on just her third career start today. Ms Gillard looks to be the next best as she was only beaten a length over course and distance two starts ago. Lady Lloyd will need to improve to win this but she can certainly pick up some place money.

The Major has shown on more than once occasion that he is capable of winning a race but once again he could prove to be vulnerable to an improver such as POSSIBLE FUTURE. The son of Compton Place has taken a step forward since moving into handicap company and he suggested that there may be more to come when not beaten far at Leicester a few weeks ago. Hardington is another who merits the utmost respect.

In a tricky race to close the card the marginal preference goes to NOT YOUR CALL, who has been running consistently well in recent months and he remains on a workable mark. Wedgewood Estates has a similar profile to the selection and she could prove to be the main danger today. Encapsulated and Wattaboutsteve are others who feature upon the shortlist, while Compton Prince cannot be dismissed.
