Rolling Dylan brings the best form to the table and looks sure to run his race, but a chance is taken on the potential of COPAIN DE CLASSE. Although beaten when falling on his English/hurdling debut at Newbury, the fact he was sent off favourite there suggests that he's held in high regard and his stable could barely be in better form at present. Towcester bumper scorer Laser Light and Thehossbehind, who hasn't been sighted since a promising debut at Worcester last June, are others to keep an eye on.

HIGHWAY STORM comfortably won a handicap hurdle at Ffos Las in March and connections immediately expressed their excitement about going over fences. Presumably they think he is well treated off 112 and a bold bid is expected on his seasonal debut. Bells Of Ailsworth and Cailleach Annie make up the shortlist, with the latter, an Exeter winner when last sighted in March, expected to put up most resistance if ready to roll.

Filatore and ISTIMRAAR are identically matched on official ratings and produced similar efforts last time out, but the latter has race fitness on his side and could be the one to side with today. Connections of the former will be hoping that Jordan Williams' 7lb claim will tip the scales in their favour while Ice Konig has placed on his last three starts in this sphere and is unlikely to be far away either. Bernard Llewellyn has a second strong challenger in the shape of Honour Promise, interestingly the mount of Richard Johnson.

MR MAFIA was only beaten three-parts of a length off a 5lb higher mark over fences at Chepstow last time and he could prove difficult to beat reverting to hurdles off a light weight. Craiganee lines up off the same mark as when placed at Stratford during the spring and he must enter calculations with Richard Johnson a positive jockey booking, while Pyrshan would have a definite chance if recapturing the form of his penultimate second in a class 3 handicap at Southwell.

It is impossible to oppose World Hurdle winner THISTLECRACK, who demolished all of his rivals last season and, as long as his jumping holds up, another easy win looks to be on the cards. Saddlers Encore was highly tried in two starts after his win in a Grade 3 handicap hurdle at Sandown back in February and he should win the race for second-place today. Aqalim was 35 lengths behind Thistlecrack on a couple of occasions over hurdles last season and looks up against it.

Call To Order was not disgraced in a decent event here earlier in the month but the son of Presenting may be one for handicaps over further than this in time. PERSIAN DELIGHT was an impressive winner of a Taunton bumper on his racecourse debut and he was last seen finishing seventh to Barters Hill in a Grade 2 contest at Aintree back in April 2015. With the Paul Nicholls yard in such fine form the son of Lucarno gets the nod today despite the lengthy break. Others to note are Elegant Escape, Keating and What A Diva.

LOOKSNOWTLIKEBRIAN escapes without a penalty for his win at Fontwell last week in a conditional jockeys' handicap hurdle and that makes him the one to beat today. Thunder Pass has not shown too much over hurdles so far but it would be no surprise to see him take a step forward now in handicap company, while similar comments also apply to Keep Up Keira.

EARLS FORT put in a career best when a narrow second at Fontwell last week and a reproduction of that effort today would make him very hard to beat. Ronnie Lawson was highly tried over hurdles a few seasons ago and he was a triple-winner in points back in early 2015. He wouldn't have to be 100 per cent to go very well in a race of this nature. Blue April would appear to be the pick of the remainder despite having to shoulder top weight.
