DULAS produced an excellent display in defeat at Haydock on his return from five months off the track. Charlie Hills' charge is well drawn and only 1lb higher here, so could be the one to side with. Ejtilaab was a good third on his reappearance but has been hampered with stall 10, so a bigger danger could be Grove Ferry, who wasn't disgraced when finishing one place ahead of Ascension in eighth in the Lincoln and runs off 3lb lower now.

Sangarius is likely to have plenty of supporters, especially as he managed to scoop Listed honours at Lingfield in December, but it is worth taking him on with ARMORY. Third in the Irish Champion Stakes when a completely unfancied 66/1 chance, Aidan O'Brien's colt was last seen finding only one too good in the Cox Plate in Australia and might not have to be at that level to strike on his reappearance. Bangkok just edged out Palavecino at Lingfield but he had the advantage of race fitness there.

Not So Sleepy was a fair fifth in the Champion Hurdle and is only 2lb higher then when fourth in the Cesarewitch. He is likely to have his say but only three of the last 10 winners of this have come from double-figure stalls, so HOCHFELD is preferred. Mark Johnston's gelding was only just denied over 1m5f at Hamilton last week and this longer trip could bring out more from him. Falcon Eight is an interesting Irish raider for Dermot Weld, while Cardano went close behind Themaxwecan at Musselburgh and can go well too.

EL ASTRONAUTE won on his reappearance at Doncaster last year and though the rest of the season was a disappointment, John Quinn appears to have found an ideal opportunity for the trailblazing sprinter to strike. King's Lynn ran well in a handicap at Newbury last month and could be the one to take advantage if the selection is a little ring-rusty, while Ainsdale didn't show much on his reappearance but could be better back down to this trip.

FOX TAL makes his handicap debut, having found Group 3 company too hot on his last two starts of 2020. Fourth in the Champion Stakes back in 2019, Andrew Balding's charge could be good enough to land this if he retains that ability. Restorer, the 2018 winner, signed off last term with a C&D success and evidently relishes it round here, while Lawn Ranger is a previous track-and-trip scorer who could be better for a recent spin on the all-weather.

Postileo was touched off on his seasonal reappearance on the all-weather at Kempton last month and likely improvement should see him go close off a 6lb higher mark, while Elysian Flame also warrants respect following his 25/1 Newbury success. Ian Williams has a number of interesting runners including Hydroplane, who twice won easily over hurdles last month, but narrow preference is for Irish raider GRANDMASTER FLASH. Two comfortable Dundalk wins show him to be arriving in top form and the booking of Ryan Moore catches the eye.

2019 winner HEART OF SOUL could defend his crown off a 5lb higher mark. Two of his three career wins have come at this specialists' track, he has likely been primed for this race and has a handy, low draw to suit his aggressive style of racing. Elham Valley has placed twice over hurdles at Cheltenham on his last couple of starts, including at the Festival in March, and merits close consideration switching back to the Flat, while Carlos Felix takes a similar path and has claims.
