(6) HOLDBACKTHERIVER finished 2018 in great form and cannot be ruled out despite a 4 Kg penalty today. (7) PLANTLOVE and (3) KAILYN must also be respected. (15) VIVA POLONIA is another to consider.

(7) MAGNETIQUE recorded his third career success when winning a claimer in a tight finish over 2000m at Mont-De-Marsan last month. This is a weak event and he gets the vote ahead of (2) QUANTIVATOR who was third to Shabrice in a Class G claimer on the turf at Cagnes last month. (11) ARIA LAFORLONGEUSE and (3) ROQUERO are next best.

This four and up handicap gives (12) CRYSTAL BEACH ROAD a great opportunity to go one better than his brace of runner up placings in his last two runs at Toulouse and Marseille-Borely last month. He can do it and see of (1) PHILOMENA and (13) EAU DU LARGE. There are chances for (6) MARTINI GIN and (7) GOLD PENNY also.

(2) KING NELSON has been a grand servant to all connections over the years and the nine year old entire is back for more here and maybe another win. He came back to form when runner up at Nantes last time earlier in this month and can go one better now at the chief expense of (12) DIAMANTFEE who in turn can see off (6) ASSANILKA and (1) STREETS OF RIO.

A three year old claiming event and while it might be high on quantity it certainly is the opposite on quality. The British challenger (15) ELIEDEN who is trained by Gay Kelleway may still be a maiden after fourteen runs but has performed well on several occasions like when second at Lingfield last time. She warrants the vote ahead of (8) PLEVEN JOA and (3) TOSEN SHAUNA who do look serious opponents. (5) ROSEDAL and (2) HIGH SPEC have similar chances.

This three year old claiming race looks set fair for (7) TEMPT to gain career win number two. The Pour Moi colt is an honest sort and broke his duck at Cagnes-sur-Mer in January before a fourth at Toulouse last month. He will be hoping for a true test at this trip and may make his own running to ensure it. (4) SAMWELL and (2) VISIONARY DREAMER look next best in front of (5) BLUE QUARTZ.

A conditions event for four year old's and up and perhaps (8) CURVER has the form to be victorious. The six year old gelding was a very nice third at Lyon-La-Soie last time over much further but he should have the pace for this as his last success came over the distance. (5) MAGIC MYSTERY will pose a threat if firing on all cylinders. (6) TRES SOLID and (2) SQUARE SET are also in contention.
