RIDGEWAY appeared to plenty left in the tank when pulling away from his rivals to score on his hurdling debut over C&D last month. The five-year-old has to carry a 7lb penalty for that success but that might not be enough to stop him. Cartonne seemed to react well to a first-time hood when second at Wetherby and he could be the danger if building on that performance with the headgear retained. Largy Gift and Scudamore complete the shortlist.

MESSAGE PERSONNEL was not disgraced when second in a juvenile contest at Wetherby last month. The son of Saints Des Saints should have more to offer now having his first taste of this longer trip and he can take advantage of the weight-for-age allowance against his elders. Mucho Mas could be the danger, although Forpaddytheplumber can play a part if bouncing back to the form of his bumper win at Haydock.

LORD ACCORD showed a determined attitude to get up close home in a small field at Taunton in December. Neil Mulholland's representative has taken well to chasing and he could have more to offer after a 2lb rise. Geryville put a Wetherby disappointment behind him when runner-up at Newcastle and is an obvious threat. Castle Robin has claims if bouncing back to his autumn form.

Chirico Vallis backed up his Chepstow success with a solid placed effort in Grade 3 company at Warwick and he will likely give another good account, while Belami Des Pictons also warrants respect following his second at Exeter. However, DINGO DOLLAR is 1lb lower than when third in the Rehearsal Chase at Newcastle last time and he is fancied to give weight and a beating to these rivals.

HALF TRACK has improved in each of his four starts to date and the Ayr scorer could prove a tough nut to crack on his handicap debut. Gredin is a serious danger on his handicap bow, though. He was touched off at Catterick last time and looks sure to be in the mix again. Mr Washington might prove best of the remainder.

DOLPHIN SQUARE carried owner David Maxwell to a Newbury/Cheltenham double over hurdles and after seemingly reaching his ceiling in that sphere, made a successful return to the hunter chase ranks at Lingfield last week. It didn't appear to take too much out of him and he can follow up. Soldier Of Love was turned over at a short price at Musselburgh but should still make his mark in this sort of company, as should Le Breuil and Oldgrangewood.

SPECTACULAR GENIUS bumped into an exciting prospect when finishing second in an Irish point-to-point last year and he merits the utmost respect on his Rules debut. Heezer Geezer is related to plenty of winners and has to be of some interest, despite his lack of race experience. Any market support for Franz Josef should be noted, while Spanish Present would make the shortlist if taking up this engagement following his victory at Doncaster on Tuesday.
