WASHBOARD SAM was only third string on jockey bookings and starting prices for Ger Lyons when making an eye-catching debut at Fairyhouse. He recovered from a tardy start, ran very green having made significant progress and eventually finished a highly respectable third. There are clearly a few kinks to iron out but he must surely improve from that promising effort and is just preferred to Strapless. Jim Bolger's more exposed Whipper filly has made the frame on all four starts and should get her head in front sooner or later. Caged Lightning should also go well and completes the shortlist.
Strapless sets the standard on all known form, but she wasn't at her best when last seen and Washboard Sam is expected to improve past her after a promising debut. Caged Lightning should place.

RUSSIAN SOUL's finishing effort at Dundalk this month suggested a drop in trip is not what's required but on the flip side he was rather keen in the early stages. The gelding remains lightly raced and his only disappointment arrived on heavy ground. A repeat of that Dundalk effort would probably be good enough in a modest maiden. Wasabi's House has the best form in the book on juvenile efforts - all at Dundalk - but he's been below par on both starts this term and tackles this trip for the first time. Velocity Of Light and Mudaffar are possible improvers.
Wasabi's House and Russian Soul are sure to be popular in the market, but they could prove vulnerable to an improver in this and the value may well lay with Greatest, who appeared to be getting the hang of things at Dundalk.

Spirituality obvious takes the eye on his handicap bow with Johnny Murtagh booked after three gradually improved efforts in maiden company but may not offer too much in the way of value. MISTY LANE was a similar type when last seen landing a substantial gamble in early May on the polytrack for which she's been hiked 10lb. However, she was smoothly impressive that day and could still inhabit a very tempting mark. He's Got Rhythm will find this easier than his latest assignment and is respected, along with Daring Man, Almadaa and Theyturnedmedown in an open contest.
Mostly exposed sorts here, but with a few notable exceptions such as Misty Lane who looked much improved when landing a gamble with a bit to spare at Dundalk in May. Hurricane Twister would have a chance if able to recapture his best, whilst Theyturnedmedown and Daring Man should give good accounts.

VIOLET LASHES, tailed off in Listed grade last time at Naas, had previously been progressive in decent company and the form of her previous effort when sweeping aside Dougal Philps has been boosted by her victim's subsequent success. Obviously a certain leap of faith is required to support the American-bred filly after that latest disappointment but she's well worth another chance. Fellow three-year-old Sindjara should have more to offer after just the four starts and returns from a nice break for the Oxx team and Balrath Hope is taken to make it a clean sweep for the younger brigade.
Sindjara and Violet Lashes look the most progressive in the field. The former is preferred, likely to relish this trip and further coming as she does from the family of connections' Derby and Arc winner Sinndar.

King Of Dudes scored on his first outing for Thomas Carmody since moving from Sir Henry Cecil when making all at Leopardstown under a canny Ben Curtis ride. Johnny Murtagh is likely to adopt similar tactics but a 6lb rise may prove too great an impost, although another solid effort is anticipated. The choice is Tommy Stack's Galileo colt, TIME OF MY LIFE, who followed up a facile Wexford handicap success with a sound third behind Shamooda at Roscommon and looks to be progressing steadily. Recent Dundalk scorer Circumstances and Dragon Khan, on a fair mark, also make some appeal.

COACH BOMBAY is a hopeful choice in a contest where those making most appeal have delivered their best on polytrack. Michael Halford's charge has only had eight runs to date and has been rested since his last outing when disappointing at Dundalk. Previous efforts were more positive and he can take this if finding top gear. Golan Heights and Kalacan, both Dundalk regulars, have shown up quite well of late and should be in the mix once again, with close interest afforded to the latter who is blinkered for the first time.
Not many arrive here in any sort of form. Golan Heights has been performing well on the AW, but is not so good on turf, so a chance is taken on Polly Ella regaining the winning thread with Joseph O'Brien booked. Kalacan is consistent and should be battling for place honours.

Jazz Girl has a useful strike-rate and battled on well to add to her tally over 1m3f at Killarney last time in a competitive fillies' handicap. However, she has plenty on here conceding weight to useful colts in Macbeth and CHICAGO. Preference is for the latter who looked at his best yet last time when easily outpointing the strongly-fancied Hay Point at Fairyhouse over this trip. Generally consistent and reliable, he can notch a third success of the campaign. Macbeth was a really good fourth in the Queen's Vase at Royal Ascot but may find this a little sharp.
Chicago will be popular given his recent success and connections, but he hasn't always convinced with his attitude, an accusation that can't be thrown at Jazz Girl and Amira's Prince, with the latter just preferred after a series of useful efforts this year.
