BANK THE BUCKS returned from a lengthy absence to score in a 16-runner field at Ballinrobe eight days ago and, despite having been handed 9lb for that success, the gelded son of Beneficial is entitled to have come on again and the rejuvenated six-year-old can put back-to-back wins together. Black Rock Lake and Spa Wells boast C&D-winning form but Killdunne is feared most, now tried with the first-time cheekpieces under Davy Russell.

WESTHAVEN was twice a winner on the level when trained in England by David Elsworth and the four-year-old has made a pleasing enough start to his career over the obstacles. The son of Alhaarth was no match for Darroun in a hot maiden at Leopardstown in January but his most recent efforts at Kilbeggan have caught the eye and suggested that this step up in trip will play to his strengths. Done En Dusted and Patsy Dan are other interesting contenders.

The veteran CLONSILLA AFFAIRS bagged his first win in this sphere in a Clonmel handicap five days ago and this 4lb penalty may not be enough to stop the 11-year-old going in again. The son of Shahrastani looks to have underfoot conditions in his favour and is tough to oppose for James Brennan. Elsewhere, a rejuvenated Coldwinters is the main danger and arrives on a hat-trick, while Carmels Boy is expected to prove a popular each-way selection.

Hollyville is no stranger to success around here and should go close if ready to roll on her reappearance but the 123-rated AITMATOV gets the nod for the potent Noel Meade/Paul Carberry combination. The Grade 1 winning hurdler has failed to land a blow in seven starts over larger obstacles but appears to have been handed a relatively straightforward opportunity here and the step up in trip should do the trick. Latin Connection can also make the frame.

DRUMLISTER is turned out under a 4lb penalty following his six-length success at Tramore recently and, expected to get every yard of this 2m7f trip, the son of Luso is likely to make it a tough test from the front on preferred quick ground. The Snuffler boasts winning course form and could run into a place at a nice price but Maple Valley Gale is feared most on the back of her C&D second latest.

Mount Sion is yet to get off the mark in six career starts but may just fare better on the back of his recent fifth in a point-to-point. LORD HAWKFIELD is preferred, however, and can take plenty of encouragement from his latest effort here in a maiden hunter chase. The son of Quws failed to get home over 2m7f when third on that occasion but this drop in trip is taken to bring about his first career success under Rules and see him reverse the form with the winner, Right Strategy.

Punters are rarely disappointed when siding with Nina Carberry in the bumper and Gordon Elliot's COSMIC WONDER looks the one to be on. His six-year-old caught the eye when showing marked improvement to finish third over this C&D last time and, with more expected today, he can open his account. Carrig'n May is likely to be thereabouts once more following a positive start at Tipperary and, while the market is expected to prove the best guide regarding the two newcomers, Ironmill Lad is another for the shortlist.
