Indigo Sky produced his best hurdling display so far over 2m5f at Sandown last time but he has looked pretty average on the whole and remains difficult to put forward with any confidence. Evan Williams' SEATTLE ROBBER, a winner on the Flat, is the preferred option on his first venture into handicap company. Today's step up in trip looks ideal judged on his recent third over 2m at Leicester and he's taken to get the better of Bite Un Fight who also showed improved form last time.

Gilo and Greenhill Bramble are the only two to boast any decent form over obstacles so far but they may struggle to see off THE VENETIAN who made a very promising NH Flat debut when runner-up at Sandown last month despite the moderate pace. He'll go very close if taking to hurdling and is preferred to Thirty Five Black, who is worth a second look in the betting, while Hennessy looks another serious threat to the selection if staying on his feet this time.

Borora and Tidal Fury could struggle today as they each take a significant step up in class, so it may pay to concentrate on BUENA VISTA and Tora Bora. The latter was successful against older rivals when maintaining his unbeaten record over fences last month and that was certainly no mean feat. Slight preference, however, is for David Pipe's charge who was superior over hurdles and looks to have every chance with Tony McCoy for company on his chasing bow.

Wee Anthony won the battle when he met RANELAGH GRAY late last month but Jonjo O'Neill's charge carries a 7lb penalty today for that success which is likely to take it's toll over this gruelling 4m. The selection is better off at the weights here and is taken to land a first chasing victory today. Doc Row had a crashing fall on his sole chasing appearance and is probably best watched here, but Roman Rampage is of major interest in this company.

This could be a serious battle between MINELLA TIPPERARY and Abragante, with the former edging the vote. He clearly loves a true test of stamina and stuck to his task gamely when scoring by three lengths here last month. David Pipe's 5yo gelding was highly rated over hurdles and will be looking to smarten up his act back in this code after unseating in a decent chase at Ascot last month. Ausone looks next best.

Plenty to consider in this wide-open event but GOOD BOOK ultimately gets the nod. He looked a different proposition all together when returning to action in winning style over hurdles at Warwick in October and is expected to enjoy this switch to the larger obstacles. River Ripples, Billy Bray and Zimbabwe all have sound chasing experience and appear to be the three most likely challengers.

IMMINENT VICTORY went very close in a similar bumper event on his first racecourse appearance last month and looks to have an ideal opportunity to compensate his followers this afternoon. Philip Hobbs' President Royal is expected to have learnt plenty from his NH Flat debut, while significant market support for Carl Llewellyn's newcomer Quartano would be of interest.
