Difficult to look beyond TATANIANO who came up against a useful sort at Kempton when making his debut. Despite being sent off odds-on he failed to handle a previous three times winner but with nothing of Shalone's calibre in today's line-up, the Paul Nicholls 5-y-o can go one better. Blue Monty has shown promise in his two outings, while Ballingaddy also looks a likely contender for minor honours.

Master Darcy can make his presence felt again, while Alasao broke his duck here in November after some decent novice form. However, two that catch the eye are Dalyan Dancer who is unexposed after just two outings and VODKA BROOK. The latter has been in the vanguard each time with three placed bumper runs and two improving hurdle efforts and his turn looks to have come today.

The improving Perfect Line can get amongst them here along with Perkin Warbeck who came up against a classy sort last time at Doncaster in the shape of Kangaroo Court. But, the vote goes to the timber debutante EXPRESS LEADER. Coming from Ditcheat he is sure to know what is required after two decent bumper runs and, unless the David Pipe-trained Calaas improves dramatically, then put this one down to the champion trainer.

Several of these have questions to answer if they want to mount a serious challenge for honours including Penn Da Benn and Sabre Hongrois. With Clyffe Hanger also a long time absentee, MISTRESS TO NO ONE only has to repeat her run of last month to land a second success here at the west country track. Her principle threat may turn out to be Latalanta who looked in need of his run at Lingfield and can build on that.

Euro Import and Tandori are of interest as is handicap debutante Quillygham. Elton deserves a win after not being given much relief from the handicapper after a series of solid efforts and it is the hike in the weights that is the chief danger to top-weight BALLY CONN. A different horse since changing yards, he only just hung on last time when landing the double here at Exeter in November but with his pilots 5lb claim he can still land the hat trick.

The Pious Prince has ran poorly over fences recently and new handler David Pipe has wasted no time before putting him back over the smaller stuff. Silver Bay cannot be discarded, nor can Bethebestyoucanbe who put in his best run so far when second last time out, albeit in a seller. However, LOW DELTA has the best recent form on show and, he can get the better of another improver, Graham's Girl.

Always the hardest race on the card, the betting market will prove a good guide. With two runs already under his belt the representative of Paul Nicholls must go on any short-list, therefore Aironageestring looks the one to beat. But a very solid effort by SHALAMIYR here in October was encouraging and the latter gets a tentative vote as he may just improve past the former. Of the rest Bolanderi, Scrum V and Maggio can also be mentioned in dispatches.
