GELINO BELLO, who won the Grade 1 Sefton Novices' Hurdle at Aintree in April, made a pleasing start over fences with a narrow win over this trip at Wetherby in late October. The winning margin that day underestimates him and he may have a lot more to offer. City Chief, who won a point-to-point before joining Nicky Henderson, has a chance at the weights but needs to eclipse his hurdles form to better the selection on his chasing debut.

Getaway Cory has a solid chance on these terms and it's noteworthy that he improved when tried without headgear last time. However, this trip is his bare minimum and he's taken on with SHOW ON THE ROAD, who was second over C&D in January which added to his decent record at this course. Isle Of Aron is also worthy of consideration despite being pulled up on his return in October.

Having notched up a brace over hurdles last month, Blenkinsop is going the right way and a 7lb penalty still leaves him 3lb well-in. However, it's no easy task giving weight away and he's worth taking on with HORN CAPE, who is unexposed in this sphere and is expected to be sharper after last month's return. Groom De Cotte also has scope and is worth another try at this sort of trip.

LALLYGAG has made quite the impression when winning here the last twice and, despite giving 10lb or more to the rest of the field, Paul Nicholls' charge can land the hat-trick. Grey Dawning travelled well for a long way on his hurdling bow at Aintree and the drop in trip could see him to best effect, while How Will I Know has a long absence to overcome but shaped well in a Wincanton bumper last December.

This can go the way of REE OKKA, who could still be underestimated by a mark of 129 as he looks to improve on a promising chase debut at Aintree. The Carlisle winner Maypole Class can give him the most to think about, along with Shakem Up'arry, who showed a smart level of form last season despite scoring only once. Alnadam and Galop De Chasse have the form to get involved as well.

De Young Warrior was last seen finishing a distant eighth in the Midlands Grand National at Uttoxeter in March and can improve dropping in both grade and trip today. However, he is rated 5lb higher than his last winning mark, so it is easier to side with DON HERBAGER. Venetia Williams' inmate bolted up at Bangor in February and has run well fresh in the past, so can be expected to be thereabouts today. Alminar is another to consider.

Bala Brook boasts an exceptionally eye-catching pedigree and given his dam is a full-sister to the multiple Grade 1 winner Cue Card, he has to merit a lot of respect on his racecourse bow. However, TAKE NO CHANCES makes her Rules debut having secured a comfortable victory in a point-to-point in May and can give another bold showing on her first run for Dan Skelton. Impatient is another to consider for powerful connections.
