MAHONIA was rated as one of Paul Nicholls' best 'bumper' horses last term. He was far from disgraced when 12th at Cheltenham last time and, with positive vibes coming from the camp prior to his hurdling debut, he looks the one to beat. TWIST MAGIC was impressive when landing the Grade 1 Kerrygold Champion Chase on his latest run at Punchestown in April and, reportedly in "really good order" prior to his seasonal reappearance, he could prove a tough nut to crack. Mahogany Blaze is potentially well-weighted with improvement likely and rates the biggest threat from a yard that can do little wrong at present, while Natal (behind the selection latest) is another with solid place credentials.

Raised 12lb for that win, he has the slightly easier task of carrying an 8lb penalty back in novice company. Greenbridge showed plenty of encouraging signs when runner-up on his chasing debut at Kempton last month and is likely to play a leading role here, while Oscar Bay won comfortably at Haydock last time and looks best of the remaining pair.
