AN MARCACH may not have shown much over in Ireland this season, but he is exactly the type that his new trainer excels with. Despite having never won over hurdles in 15 attempts, a chance is taken with the son of Milan making a winning start on British soil. A winner at Ffos Las over fences recently, Ring The Moon comes here in good form along with Secret Secret, who was a winner in this grade last October but has been off the track for 145 days.

The Harry Fry stable can do little wrong at present and the consistent GET BACK GET BACK can provide him with yet another winner. Runner-up on four of his last five starts, the seven-year-old deserves a change in the luck and that may come against what looks to be relatively weak opposition. Mack The Man has gone off the boil since winning over C&D in November off 3lb higher, whereas Technological looks to still be learning his trade after four outings over hurdles.

Dr. Richard Newland looks to have found a perfect opportunity for the consistent WICKED WEST to get off the mark over fences at the first attempt. Placed on his last three outings over hurdles and a winner on good ground in the past, the six-year-old gets the vote ahead of Raffles Gitane, who is difficult to trust having pulled up on two of his last three starts over the larger obstacles. Market Rasen winner Shiroccan Roll arrives with a similar profile but must be respected all the same.

WETANWINDY only found one too good at Wincanton last time and that followed a victory at the same venue a couple of weeks previously. A reproduction of either of those efforts today would give him a big chance. Nickelsonthedime disappointed over 3m when last seen but is a player based on his previous form, while Mr Tambourine Man also makes the shortlist.

SAN AGUSTIN got off the mark over fences when last seen in December and a 3lb rise in the ratings may still underestimate this unexposed six-year-old. One For Dunstan may not be the most consistent customer but the handicapper has given him a chance to bounce back to form and he rates the most immediate danger. Tea Time On Mars and Normandy Soldier also merit places on the shortlist.

TRIXSTER was in fine form last month when winning at Taunton and most recently finishing third at Market Rasen two weeks ago. The Tim Vaughan-trained nine-year-old gets in off the same mark as last time and Charlie Price taking off a handy 3lb is another added bonus. To Be Sure is another of interest and should appreciate this stiffer test after a below-par effort at Ludlow last time. Dr Richard Newland has his string in fine order at present and is represented by Mason Jar, who is also respected in what looks a trappy affair.

ROLLING DYLAN comes into this chasing a hat-trick having won both military races at Sandown in February and March. The 11-year-old has been a consistent performer since switching to Phillip Hobbs last summer and can give jockey Ella Herbison her first winner under Rules. The obvious danger looks to be West Approach, who should appreciate this stiffer test of stamina having finished third at Wincanton over two and a half miles last month. Wotzizname hasn't been seen on a racecourse proper for over three years but has some decent point-to-point form to his name and warrants respect.
