Maxi Chop has struggled off 125 in handicaps at Cheltenham the last twice but he's dropped back into maiden company representing leading connections and he'll take some stopping if running up to that mark. He looks vulnerable to an improver, though, and MASTER MALT brings some rock-solid bumper form to the table. Jonjo O'Neill's charge hasn't set the world alight in three starts in novice company over timber, but it could be significant that Tony McCoy takes over in the plate and the drop into a maiden should help. Roberto Pegasus completes the shortlist.

BONNE FEE has clearly had her problems, but she beat last year's winner of this race in a Hereford bumper in 2011 and although she hasn't been seen since finishing a neck second at Ludlow in October 2012, the booking of Sam Twiston-Davies suggests connections are confident of a big run on her return. Makadamia sets the standard on a mark of 104 and is expected to make the frame, while Ellin's Tower can also make her presence felt.

Jump City is the sole C&D winner in the field and boasts claims off his current mark of 130, while King Edmund is capable at this level and he showed no signs of throwing the towel in when finishing second over hurdles at Taunton 13 days ago. KARINGA DANCER ran well at Cheltenham in novice company last month, though, and he's done enough in three starts over the larger obstacles to suggest a mark of 137 is feasible on his handicap debut in this sphere.

Taradrewe is a winner over the extended 3m1f at Plumpton so will have no stamina issues going back up in trip following a comfortable Fontwell triumph (2m4f) last time. The value may lie elsewhere, however, and FLEMENSON can be forgiven his latest Haydock performance on really deep ground. Tony McCoy takes over in the plate aboard Jonjo O'Neill's charge and a mark of 130 is workable based on three encouraging efforts in novice company. Brackloon High can get involved if over his Exeter fall.

BRADLEY BROOK is a four-time winner between the flags and warrants the utmost respect on his debut under Rules. The son of Alderbrook arrives on a hat-trick on the back of two effortless point-to-point wins in March and April and is hard to oppose in his present mood. Tachbury regained the winning thread in that sphere last month and is another to take seriously, while Hincheslea Moor completes the shortlist.

The jockey booking of Tom O'Brien for RISK A FINE suggests he's the more forward of the Philip Hobbs pair and although the fitting of a hood for his debut under Rules doesn't inspire a great deal of confidence, he's won a point-to-point so is clearly talented. Vodkaontherocks failed to justify favouritism on his Ffos Las bow for Hobbs but should be more the wiser for the experience, while Shutthebackdoor and Courtlands Prince are intriguing newcomers for their shrewd stables.
