AURILLAC was deemed good enough to contest the Grade 1 Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival on the back of beating a decent form yardstick at Chepstow and Rebecca Curtis' charge can take full advantage of the drop in class. His third-placed behind subsequent Champion Bumper winner Ballyandy at Cheltenham earlier in the season also reads well and he's taken to have too much class for the likes of Say My Name and Whipcord.

WILD WEST WIND wasn't without his supporters at Ayr last month and it could be that he just struggled to get home over the extended 3m2f trip on bad ground. If that's the case, Tom George's charge remains on an attractive mark off 3lb higher when taking into account he comfortably accounted for the 130-rated course scorer Say My Name (runs in the opener on this card) at Chepstow off level weights two starts back. Valhalla represents a yard going great guns at the moment and he joins Toby Lerone on the shortlist.

Nail 'm is one to consider on the back of a decent run in a first-time tongue-tie at Warwick last month, while course scorer Quinz is also respected and Golden Milan could be one for the each-way players. UMBERTO D'OLIVATE gets the nod, though, as the course winner shaped as though the step up to this stamina-sapping trip would suit when running second over the extended 3m here 13 days ago and he remains on an attractive mark.

A mark of 115 looks fair for RETRO VALLEY, who held every chance two out on his reappearance at Taunton last month before fading on the run in. The four-year-old should have come on for that and has the able services of Noel Fehily to rely on. Scooby was slightly disappointing at Doncaster after being well backed and probably needs further than this 2m trip. Jester Jet looks to be on a nice mark and will have learnt a lot from her handicap debut a month ago.

Colin Tizzard had a magnificent week at Aintree and his fine form could continue with top-weight JUSTATENNER. The five-year-old won on his handicap debut last month and showed a willing attitude to get his head in front. This track should suit and he can see off the challenge of Miss Estela, who probably needed the run on her first appearance for Warren Greatrex in February and went well for the majority of the race. Pied Du Roi is back on his last winning mark but would need to improve to trouble the selection.

STAR TROUPER performed with credit on hurdling debut behind the useful Mister Miyagi, and the half-brother of Champagne West can get off the mark on his second attempt over hurdles in the first time hood. The main dangers look to be Pure Vision, who has decent bumper form to his name including when fourth in the DBS Spring Sales Bumper last time at Newbury, and Brotherly Company getting the 4yo weight allowance.

RAINY CITY has shaped well on both his hurdle starts at Doncaster and the drop in distance, combined with a sounder surface, gives Paul Nicholls' inmate his best chance of success to date over obstacles. Lettheriverundry boasts some decent form so far and is another who will benefit from better ground, as will Mr Kit Cat.

In a contest where recent Rules form is found lacking considerably, the market should be monitored closely and could prove the best guide. IN THE TUB looks to set the standard with his point-to-point form and receives the tentative vote. Blazing Whale has the assistance of Will Biddick in the saddle and should go well, while Im All Set is another for the shortlist.
