MR CLARKSON won his bumper here on New Year's Day in tenacious style having finished second to a potential star in Finian's Oscar on his sole point-to-point outing and is taken to make a winning start over hurdles. Cigarisi shaped with some promise on his debut over timber when fourth behind Asum at Taunton and should take a step forward, while Mansion is entitled to improve from his debut when beaten by William Henry at Newbury.
CIGARISI showed ability on hurdles debut at Taunton last month, suggesting the experience wouldn't be wasted on him, and he gets the vote to build on that now. Bumper scorer Mr Clarkson and Ridgeway Flyer head up the dangers, in that order.

GRAND GOLD has done enough in recent starts to suggest a race of this nature is well within his compass. Two wins from five starts over hurdles, he will need to step up going back over fences but is on an attractive mark of 115 based on the pick of his form over timber and this wouldn't be strongest of handicap chase contests. Only Gorgeous won over C&D last time and heads the list of dangers from Ray Diamond.
Plenty to consider but hurdles-winner GRAND GOLD will probably prove at least as good over fences given he's a multiple point winner, and the fact he finished second off a 5 lb higher hurdle mark on his return to Rules at Fontwell recently bodes well for his chances. Crown Hill caught the eye back over fences last time, while Winston Churchill and Tolkeins Tango have a good record first-time out.

The Brocade Racing-owned pair look to hold strong claims here with Obistar and BRAMBLE BROOK, with marginal preference for the latter to chalk up another victory for the imperious Colin Tizzard team. The seven-year-old was popular in the betting when pulled up here earlier this month, but the ground was bottomless that day and this better surface can see him resume his progress. Bacchanel showed mild signs of progress in maiden company and a mark of 105 looks fair for his handicap debut.
BACCHANEL didn't make much of an impact over hurdles but is the type to make a better chaser and is on a workable mark mindful of his bumper form. Bramble Brook is worth another chance to confirm the promise of his chase debut and is feared most.

Representing the powerful Harry Fry operation, the son of Black Sam Bellamy makes plenty of appeal on breeding and if the market vibes are strong a big performance likely beckons.
