Dual bumper winner Sir Benfro only got as far as the first on his hurdles bow at Chepstow but he could make his presence felt here with a clear round. However, it might pay to side with VINTAGE KID. An impressive winner between the flags earlier this year, he could take plenty of beating on his debut under NH rules this afternoon. Highland Retreat and Market Option are others to consider.

MELODIC RENDEZVOUS found only Champagne Fever too good in the Grade 1 Punchestown bumper back in April and if he takes to hurdles at the first time of asking, he will be a very tough nut to crack today. Mr Mole made an impressive winning debut in a Hereford bumper in April and he is accorded the utmost respect on his hurdling debut. Dom Lukka, a dual winner in France, is interesting on his first run for Charlie Longsdon.

MODULE has not been seen since running out a most impressive winner of a Cheltenham handicap hurdle in January and he will take plenty of beating on his chasing debut if running close to his hurdles mark of 139. Rebel Rebellion won twice over hurdles last term and he has always looked a chaser in the making so must be respected on his first outing over fences. Pantxoa, Johns Spirit and Bold Henry are other likely contenders having their first taste of the larger obstacles.

Geminus comes into this in cracking form but he is now 17lb higher than when recording the first leg of his hat-trick so slight preference is for Jeremy Scott's handicap debutant, WHAT ER SAY. He looked a useful performer in the making when winning at Fontwell in January and although he did not really build on that in two subsequent outings, a mark of 115 could be within his capabilities. Rydalis and No Woman No Cry are other possible contenders.

Gentleman Jeff has been knocking on the door of late and he can be expected to play a leading role once more but ROLL THE DICE could be the one to beat. His chasing debut at Stratford last month was littered with errors but he should come on for that and he has the ability to put these rivals to the sword. Sophonie is worthy of consideration on her first run for Tom George.

A fascinating beginners' chase can go the way of ROCKY CREEK. He got the better of Gullinbursti to land a Grade 2 novice hurdle at Doncaster prior to contesting the Albert Bartlett at the Cheltenham Festival and he is sure to have been extensively schooled in preparation for his chasing debut. Gullinbursti is considered a major threat on his chasing bow, along with Thehillofuisneach and Harry Topper. Calon Crwbin is also worth respecting despite his lengthy layoff.

Garde La Victoire makes plenty of appeal on his debut and confidence behind him would be a big positive. His stablemate, Allons Zee, is also considered and Giveagirlachance is worth a precautionary market check. Emma Lavelle is capable of readying a newcomer to strike and it could pay to side with her DEMOGRAPHIC. He is related to some useful Flat performers and a big run on debut would come as no surprise.
