WE'LL BE THERE appeared to benefit from the application of a tongue-tie when going down by just a neck at Chepstow in March and if she can build on that performance off 4lb higher on her return from a break, she should take all of the beating. Ochos Rios pulled-up on his comeback spin at Plumpton but may come on for the run, while it is possible Moonlight Flyer could step up on his course fourth over 2m2f last time now granted this stiffer test.
Hard to enthuse over this bunch, but WE'LL BE THERE showed improved form fitted with a tongue tie when last seen in March, and a repeat of that effort may well suffice. Ochos Rios suffered a heavy defeat on reappearance but is in very capable hands, while Moonlight Flyer can plug on for a place.

BRAW ANGUS shaped encouragingly on his seasonal reappearance here last month, finishing fourth over C&D, and is expected to step up on that effort on the same mark now he has the benefit of a run under his belt. Quinto similarly ran well to land minor money over track and trip last time and has place claims off 4lb higher, while Mister Drifter remains open to improvement off a mark of 105 for David Pipe and is another for the shortlist.
BRAW ANGUS is certainly worth another try over this sort of trip, particularly with last month’s reappearance run under his belt. Mister Drifter hasn’t looked the most straightforward on occasions, but could still yet be capable of better, while Ayla’s Emperor can fill the places.

CASTARNIE had You Say What back in fifth when landing the silver medal in a C&D handicap earlier this month. Both rivals are entitled to strip fitter for those comeback efforts, and although the last-named is 6lb better off at the revised weights, there was a wide margin separating them at the line and the selection may be able to uphold the form. According To Harry is 4lb higher than when scoring over this trip at Ludlow in April and could feasibly play a minor role.
YOU SAY WHAT was ultimately well adrift of Castarnie when fifth in C&D handicap on his seasonal reappearance, but he travelled well for a long way on that occasion and may well be capable of a good deal better. Indeed, that was just his second start for the Pipe yard and he is 4 lb lower in the weights now. Castarnie is a much-respected main danger, while According To Harry also has claims.

BRELAN D'AS is going to take some stopping on his second start over fences in this select novice race. The unexposed French import was sent off favourite to win on chase debut at Ffos Las last month, a race in which smart hurdler West Approach was successful, suggesting he is clearly held in high regard. He won over hurdles himself at Wincanton, bolting up in a handicap off 130, and he's entitled to have come forward from that first run over the larger obstacles. Impulsive Star has an absence to overcome but is respected, likewise Flintham while Duel At Dawn ran well on his fencing bow at Chepstow.
An intriguing event despite the small field with BRELAN D'AS getting the narrow vote. A facile winner of his sole hurdle outing last term, he rates the type to step up plenty for his Ffos Las chase debut third last month. The trio in opposition all have reasons to recommend them however, Impulsive Star rating the chief threat.

Nick Williams has a fine record of developing juveniles and it would be no surprise if MERCENAIRE were able to leave his sole French appearance in the past on his UK debut for the Devon handler. Harbour Force is now tried in the hood and looks to need that headgear to work to play a telling role, while Seaborn may have flopped on his hurdles bow but was a winner on the Flat for Simon Hodgson and could be capable of better if taking to his new discipline.
Hurdling form is thin on the ground and it might be worth siding with MERCENAIRE to leave behind his sole start in France last spring. His trainer has a good record with similar types and market support would increase confidence. Harbour Force ran poorly last time but has the best form, while Seaborn was well held on his hurdling bow but the fact he managed a Flat win provides hope for better.

Colin Tizzard has snapped up the services of the highly touted Mitch Bastyan for Padleyourowncanoe who was a pleasing fourth on his debut for the Venn Farm handler having been in useful form on the Flat when in the care of David Loughnane. There's every chance the three-year-old can build on that showing here, however, preference is for the recent course winner NORSE LIGHT who has the majority of his 6lb rise nullified by his rider Tom Humphries' 5lb claim. Thundering Home has won over track and trip from a 1lb higher mark earlier in the year and could surprise, while Dusky Raider won well at Uttoxeter when last seen.
PADLEYOUROWNCANOE shaped quite well on his recent first run for Colin Tizzard and looks very interesting now making a quick switch to handicaps. Former C&D winner Thundering Home is starting to look well treated and there were more positive signs last time, while Dusky Raider did it comfortably at Uttoxeter last time.
