This looks an ideal opportunity for the Willie Mullins-trained YOUNG MILLY, who looked more than a shade unlucky in defeat at Clonmel in February when last seen. She beat a couple of decent types that day and it looks only a matter of time before a race of this nature comes her way. Afasheen, who had the beating of A Rare Diamond (5th) when third at Navan last month, looks the selection's main danger.

Jim The Falcon is likely to prove a popular selection on his hurdling bow having landed a Clonmel bumper in good style on his first public outing last month, but marginal preference is for HORSE MAN PASS BY, who has the advantage of previous hurdling experience and is clearly heading in the right direction. Prince Roco, placed on his hurdling debut at Navan in December, is another must for any short-list.

A fairly tricky contest to fathom, but EQUUS MAXIMUS, considered good enough to contest the 2006 Champion Bumper at the Cheltenham Festival, has shown more than enough in two recent hurdle starts to suggest a race of this nature is well within his capabilities. Stablemate Captain Conflict must be accorded respect, despite looking the second-string on paper, but recent Thurles runner-up Carrigeen King may pose the selection most problems.

SANDYZAR is likely to be brimming with confidence having opened his account in a maiden hurdle at Navan last month and, although not obviously well treated on his handicap hurdle debut, he has clearly benefited from the fitting of blinkers lately and today's testing conditions are also a positive factor. Light On The Broom made an encouraging return to hurdles at Cork last month and can go close if building on that effort this afternoon. Recent Wexford winner Duers and the unexposed Rhinestorius are also respected.

Tony Martin's Ice Skate is just the type to find significant improvement now sent handicapping and the betting market should be monitored closely. He's shown very little in three hurdle starts to date, however, and can be taken on with LUGATO. He fared better than ever when second over 2m here in February and can go one better over this slightly longer trip, despite a 2lb rise in the weights. Got The Urge may prove best of the rest.

Irish Invader is likely to prove a popular choice for the prolific Mullins-Walsh axis but he has a tendency to find a few too good and STROMSTAD could be value against him. Mick Darcy's mount fell four out when still in front at Down Royal latest and could take some pegging back if his jumping passes muster tonight. Belated chasing debutant Sher Why Not can call upon the assistance of championship leader Davy Russell and is worth a second look in the betting ring.

Kells Castle runs well around here but he prefers faster ground and ROBERTSTOWN ROVER looks the answer. The selection has not finished outside of the first two on his last four starts, including when winning here in February. He appears to be on the upgrade and tonight's step up to three miles is expected to see him in an even better light. Ben Adam and Pan To Glory make most appeal of the remainder.
