CHANGING THE RULES wasn't disgraced on debut over C&D before keeping on into fifth when dropped in trip at Naas. That race has worked out well with the winner Bring On The Night finishing fourth in the Supreme Novices Hurdle and the runner-up Snake Oil going one better at this venue. The return to 2m4f should suit. There are plenty of dangers in this maximum line-up including Level Neverending who was beaten at long odds-on here earlier this month. He needs to brush up his jumping and has also shown a tendency to hang left. Chiricahua had Harald Hardrad behind when the pair filled minor places behind Ballykeel at Leopardstown, while Ballybough Native was snapped up for 195,000 at Cheltenham just after easily winning a point-to-point bumper last spring.

VAUCELET has won five of his six starts in point-to-points and hunter chase since joining David Christie last spring and looks the one to beat. The selection accounted for Snugsborough Benny here in November and beat another of today's rivals Nick Lost between the flags at Portrush last month. His only defeat came over a shorter trip at the Down Royal Christmas meeting and the booking of Jamie Codd catches the eye. Aloneamongmillions has a very healthy wins to runs ratio and landed the Tetratema Cup at Gowran for the second time last month. Space Cadet won the Ulster National at Downpatrick in 2020 but hasn't much to recommend him since and has been beaten on both point outings this year.

SHE'S COMMANCHE is very unexposed over fences with just the one run and appears to have got in here on a reasonable mark. The selection won twice in handicap hurdles including at this venue and was only beaten about two lengths behind Whiskey Lullaby in a beginners' chase at Punchestown in January. This sounder surface will suit. Echoes Of Family has been a frustrating sort to follow although her string of placed efforts over fences includes a second to Envoi Allen in a Grade 2 at Down Royal last autumn. She again ran well over a similar trip at Leopardstown last time when beating all bar Super Citizen. Chelseas Friend ran well over an inadequate trip at Wexford last time, while others to consider include Feyan and top-weight Daphne Moon.

RIGHTPLACERIGHTIME won a three-mile beginners' chase here in November and this represents a drop in class following a creditable effort last time in the Kim Muir at Cheltenham. Maxine O'Sullivan retains the ride on the selection who was let down by his jumping previously over an inadequate trip at Leopardstown but has a smart piece of form over hurdles to his name this year having beaten all bar Good Time Johnny in a valuable handicap at the Dublin Racing Festival. O'Sullivan's father Eugene supplies a possible danger in Super Citizen who won at Leopardstown last month, while others for the shortlist include Johngus and recent Wexford scorer Fox Watch.

ERIC BLOODAXE looked a smart stayer when landing a Grade 2 on testing ground at the Limerick Christmas meeting but has been very disappointing on both outings since. He can bounce back to form. Tempo Chapter Two won a rated novice hurdle here in February but takes a huge step up in trip here, while it will also be interesting to see how stablemate Belle Metal copes with this stamina test. Ernie McCracken is another to consider along with the progressive proven stayer Nell's Well.

GLAN went close in a valuable handicap over C&D back in November and a reproduction of that form would see her go close off just a 4lb higher mark. The Gordon Elliott-trained mare only failed by a neck to peg back Gua Du Large with Sit Down Lucy in fourth. An extra quarter mile didn't play to her strengths at Leopardstown last time. Stablemate Eskylane won a highly competitive handicap in impressive fashion at Down Royal in October but hasn't been seen since and has gone up 12lb in the ratings. Riding arrangements suggest Farout is preferred of Willie Mullins' seven runners, while Nodoubtaboutthat and Iberique Du Seuil are both running from out of the handicap proper but shouldn't be lightly discounted.

CNOC NA SI was sent off odds-on for her debut at the Limerick Christmas meeting and while the form of that race hasn't worked out too well, she is obviously held in good regard and may be better served by this sounder surface. Patrick Mullins now takes over from Jody Townend with the latter partnering stablemate Walk In The Brise. She was also a short-priced favourite when runner-up on debut at Gowran Park, staying on well on testing ground, and it will be interesting to see how the market speaks for the Mullins pair here. Oakroom Lady was also second on debut at Clonmel last month, while Cool Croi and Sunshine Girl are others to note. Jetara hails from a family that connections have done well with before as her winning dam is a sister to Champion Hurdle winner Jezki.
