Corker and Dusty Dane have hurdling experience but have hardly set the world on fire and at least one of the hurdling debutants should have their measure. King After has some decent form on the Flat but preference is for SASSO, from the powerful O'Neill-McCoy team. A good winner on the level last time out, he's sure to be well prepared for this.

HILL FORTS HENRY has shown little over timber but has looked more useful over the bigger obstacles. He has improved in his three runs over fences, finishing second last time at Plumpton and looks likely to open his account here. The consistent if uninspiring Chancers Dante could give the selection the most to do.

3

13:40 Folkestone (Class E) (4YO to 6YO)

E.b.f. Nasons Of Canterbury 'national Hunt' Novices' Hurdle

Bumper winners Glasker Mill and Inaro should go well on their hurdling debuts while Viciana's win in similar company at Towcester marks her out as a real threat. KILLAGHY CASTLE looked all over the winner on his debut at Stratford before taking a tumble at the last. He steps down in class here and can make amends.

4

14:10 Folkestone (Class D) (4YO plus)

Pentins Business Solutions Handicap Chase

2m

Master T and Green Gamble are running well but might be a little high in the handicap now, while Ballyrobert has won three times over fences but also might have too much weight. WINSLEY looks a useful recruit to the chasing game, scoring by an impressive 9l at Towcester on his second start. He should gain his first handicap win here.

5

14:40 Folkestone (Class D) (4YO plus)

Hartman Marine Services Ltd Mares' Only Handicap Hurdle

MARJINA was a frustrating sort last year but, after a string of near-misses, won easily at Chepstow in January. After a break, she re-emerged to score at Uttoxeter on her seasonal bow and, despite another 7lb here, can follow up. Lady Of Fortune has shown ability but may need the run and Elfkirk could be the one for the forecast.

15:10 Folkestone (Class D) (5YO plus)

HSBC Novices' Chase

2m 5f

Adelphi Theatre and Pass Me A Dime have shown enough over hurdles to suggest they can go well on their chasing debuts but they'll have to be something special to get the better of AVITTA. She's shown a real liking for the bigger obstacles and has won her last two chases by 10l easing up. She should complete her hat-trick today.

7

15:40 Folkestone (Class H) (4YO to 6YO)

Sandom Robinson Standard Open NH Flat Race

2m 1f 110y

Winner £1,871 - 13 ran

Jonjo O'Neill's newcomer Lone Rider could go well here but a couple of the experienced horses make more appeal. Major Miller ran well enough on his debut in a similar race at Perth, finishing fifth, but preference is for KOBAI, a full brother to Grade 2 chasing winner Kurakka and a good third in a Uttoxeter bumper on his debut.
