Now that WHIPPHOUND has regained the winning thread, he's taken to supplement a decisive victory at Thirsk which came under today's pilot. The move from good to soft ground should not inconvenience as he has a victory to his name on ground with cut last autumn. Picks Pinta has topweight but is running well enough to rate a leading contender down to a mark of 61. He also has a C&D win to his name. Insolenceofoffice hasn't won for a while but he too has gone well here in the past and shaped nicely enough last time.

Equitant impressed when making a winning Beverley debut recently and could well be good enough to go in again but HUMBLE GRATITUDE is the preference. Karl Burke's colt improved considerably from a solid debut when going down by less than a length to the useful Staxton at Haydock and receives 6lb when the allowance of Clifford Lee is taken into account. Poet's Pride came home with a rattle on his Carlisle debut and is a major danger whereas Up Sticks And Go looks as if he'll need to improve to handle this field.

COLOUR CONTRAST has finished behind both recent winners - Riponian and Rioja Day - on his last two starts but is better off at the weights with both here although he finished a long way behind Riponian on that occasion. However, that run did not represent his best form and he's given another chance after travelling sweetly here the last day. He doesn't look the most straightforward but is worth the risk. Al Hawraa gives the impression that she's returning to form, which would bring her bang into the equation if rediscovering her best.

This has the potential to be fiercely competitive with three in-form sorts clashing. ISABELLA is the likely pacemaker after making all to score at Pontefract to land a second success in three starts in a style suggesting she has more to offer. The daughter of Galileo should certainly be progressive after only those three runs whereas Whatsthemessage, in tremendous form, may just have come to the end of her winning spree as the assessor takes revenge. Pantera Negra is likely to be held up for a late run and rates a major danger in search of his three-timer.

All can have a claim made for their chance but CHINESE SPIRIT is a hopeful choice as he should have scope for further improvement after just the half-dozen runs, the most recent of which saw him claim a first career success when scoring rather snugly at Ayr over 1m. A rise of 3lb seems acceptable and he can make the most of weight received from Katebird and Taxmeifyoucan. Both the aforementioned are respected although the latter did rather blot his copybook when unseating over hurdles at Hexham latest. Duck Egg Blue is solid and consistent and Eyreborn the possible improver.

An excellent final in the series with CAMACHO CHIEF taken to defy top weight as he's looked above average in the manner he's despatched his opposition the last twice. The in-form Callum Rodriguez's claim actually sees him receive weight from a couple of rivals and he can make it three on the bounce. Clubbable has shown potential on all three starts and it's interesting that Richard Fahey sends her here rather than opting for a more straightforward maiden race option. The Johnston pair of Poetic Steps and Poet's Prince are better than latest runs suggest and are not discounted.

JESSINAMILLION is rated a stone ahead of his nearest challenger on official ratings and is hard to oppose. He has proved capable on a variety of surfaces and a respectable sixth of 10 in Class 4 company behind Magical Effect last time reads well in this company. Vintage Dream looks the obvious danger if forgiven a well below par run last time, whilst Dawoodi and Henrietta's Dream will both need to improve dramatically on achievements to date to contend.
