PRINCES DES SABLES was a deserved winner on her nursery debut over C&D and, providing she handles these softer conditions, Kevin Ryan's filly can complete the double. Beryl The Petal also needs to prove herself on the ground, but she warrants plenty of respect following her novice auction stakes victory at Ripon, while Northern Society continues to knock on the door and is unlikely to be far away either.

THREE COMETS, a 525,000gns son of Sea The Moon, caught the eye when a staying-on third on his debut over 7f at Yarmouth and, almost certain to improve for this step up in trip, he rates the one to beat. Delft Dancer had displayed lots of ability before refusing to race at Newmarket and hopefully she will be on her best behaviour, while Doncaster scorer Must See The Doc adds further spice to the race.

It might pay to side with FLYING FOCUS in what looks a tricky puzzle for punters to solve. He has been hammering on the door at this track recently and the application of a first-time visor could make all the difference. Allux Boy must have every chance lining up off the same mark as when runner-up over C&D latest, while Optima Petamus and Jack Blane are others to note.

Stewardess warrants plenty of respect in her bid to complete the hat-trick, similarly Yes You, who narrowly missed out on her own three-time over C&D recently. However, preference is for the Roger Varian-trained ANGEL'S GLORY. She justified strong market support when opening her account over 7f at Kempton and is open to most improvement with only six starts under her belt. Having run well on heavy before, the ground shouldn't be an issue.

Last year's winner Sepal is entitled to improve for her comeback third at Ayr and merits shortlist inclusion, while her stablemate Jabbaar and Appointed, who represents the yard that won this race two years ago, also have solid credentials. However, the one that makes most appeal is unexposed four-year-old ZEELANDER. An improving son of Dubawi, he has been running well at the big tracks this year and can make a successful raid on Scotland.

ZIHAAM certainly wouldn't be winning out of turn, having been narrowly beaten in three of his last four starts, and he shades the verdict ahead of Weather Front, also in tremendous form but not completely certain to see out this trip. Stanley is a useful performer but has a 369-day absence to overcome, while Granite City Doc has been hammering on the door at this venue and is nicely weighted once again.

Top-weight GUARDIA SVIZZERA defied a 6lb penalty with ease at Catterick on Wednesday and another 6lb penalty probably won't be enough to prevent the follow-up, if Roger Fell's inmate is turned out again. Burmese Blazer scored at Musselburgh on Wednesday and should go well if taking his chance. Carlisle runner-up Rockley Point left previous form well behind when beaten half-a-length at Carlisle last week and is another to consider.
