HIGH COMMAND, a 150,000gns purchase, was sent off favourite for a maiden where he finished down the field behind Hereawi on Lincoln day at Doncaster but can be forgiven as the ground was fairly testing and the son of High Chaparral should benefit for better ground, being gelded, and his trainer's patient approach. Elraazy is a regally-bred filly out of 2005 Oaks winner Eswarah and is entitled to improve plenty for the experience gained on debut. Arthur Mc Bride ran well on his debut on the level when runner-up at Bath last month, while Autumn Surprise shaped with promise first time out at Carlisle and a line can be put through her Chester effort where she was pulled up.

SWISS STORM is the latest Frankel to make his debut and the half-brother to smart sprinters Swiss Spirit and Swiss Diva has been the subject of bullish homework reports from his connections. David Elsworth wouldn't be exactly renowned for first time out winners but this looks an easy enough starting point. Somewhere Secret is a half-brother to fair sprinter Secretinthepark and should give a decent account on debut, while Pennsylvania Dutch is from a family trainer William Haggas knows well and cannot be discounted.

Star Archer had a strong reputation leading into his debut at York but both his efforts on the track to date haven't matched what has clearly been expected of him. The son of Champs Elysees also appeared to take a step backwards from his debut effort and he can be opposed with the Godolphin newcomer ALQAMAR. Charlie Appleby's representative comes from a stout family, with his grand-dam Kazzia the last horse before this season to do the 1000 Guineas and Oaks double, and the trainer has a 30 per cent strike-rate with his two-year-olds this season. Katmandoo represents a Tom Dascombe yard that have a decent record at Haydock, while Poseidon comes from a nice middle distance family and has to be respected.

Mr Quicksilver dropped to this class last time out and connections will have been disappointed that he couldn't make more use of that opportunity, while Hanseatic has gone up a further 2lb for another consistent effort last time out. It might be worth taking a chance on David O' Meara's latest recruit, MARBOOH. The three-year-old has joined from Charlie Hills and it would be no surprise to see him rejuvenated by a drop in class. Zwayyan took his maiden without too much fuss recently and an opening handicap mark of 80 looks reasonable enough.

John Gosden claimed this in 2015 with Richard Pankhurst and he must have excellent claims once more withy MUWAARY fancied to go very well back on better ground. The five-year-old made a promising reappearance at York after a long absence and was fancied to go better at Newmarket last time out before the ground turned heavy. There can be no excuses this time and he should be able to get the better of Forge, who ran respectably on his first crack against older horses in a Group 3 a fortnight ago. Atlantic Sun should be on the premises, with the reliable Dark Emerald also worthy of consideration.

STARS OVER THE SEA remains in fine form for Mark Johnston and was unfortunate not to finish closer than fourth in a valuable York handicap last month. The five-year-old was squeezed out when making his charge after being the subject of late support and could claim compensation here off just 2lb higher. Important Message showed flashes of potential last season but probably requires a market check due to his yard's recent quiet spell, while Stockhill Diva and Zamperini could go well at likely decent value odds, with the latter of particular interest due to the booking of Jim Crowley once more.

A trappy finale but one that can go the way of CORREGGIO after his return to form at Beverley last time out. The six-year-old is yet to win this season but remains on a tempting mark of 70 and he should find conditions favourable under the promising Joe Wright. Miss Tiger Lily is likely to prove popular in the betting but she has become frustrating to follow in recent weeks after a string of seconds, while Astrum and Dark Amber complete the list of likely contenders.
