ME VOICI has done nothing but improve in three starts thus far and will be strongly fancied to double his tally today. He was mightily impressive when beating subsequent winner Sang Bleu in a Grade 1 hurdle race at Chepstow just short of two months ago and the JCB Triumph Hurdle at Cheltenham next month could be his next port of call. Diktalina is a vast improving sort from the Alison Thorpe stable and is likely to ask most questions, while Stars Du Grantis is another that warrants respect representing the stable that won this race 12 months ago.

Lough Derg seems sure to go blasting out in front in his usual fashion and will prove tough to beat if given an easy time of things, but Tony McCoy should be wise to the move on BESHABAR and he is fancied to land the spoils. There appeared to be plenty left in the tank when taking a Grade 3 contest over 2m6f at Sandown a couple of weeks ago and he is relatively unexposed compared to these rivals. Cloudy Lane bids to exploit a lenient hurdles mark and will be staying on when others have cried enough.

ADAMS ISLAND is unbeaten in both starts under NH rules so far and will be strongly fancied to complete the hat-trick. He readily beat a useful sort from the Paul Nicholls stable on his hurdling debut at Newbury just over three weeks ago and has proven that he can handle testing ground. Wayward Prince deservedly steps up in class after scoring effortlessly at Doncaster last time and could give the selection most to think about, while Kennel Hill clearly has his quirks but should go close if on a going day.

Plenty of interest will surround Dream Alliance, Silver By Nature and Le Beau Bai, who filled the first three places in this season's Welsh National at Chepstow, but a chance is taken on veteran L'AVENTURE. She won the 2005 Welsh National by a distance when in the care of Paul Nicholls and has since run many good races for Nick Williams, including when bolting up in the Scottish Border National at Kelso in December. An out-and-out stayer who remains realistically treated on the pick of her old form, the mare makes plenty of appeal under a low weight in this marathon. According To John has been offered some respite from the assessor and Miko De Beauchene is another to consider off his current mark.

A highly competitive handicap and a solid case can be made for a few of them but the one to beat could be CHAMIREY who got the better of subsequent AON chase winner Tricky Trickster over 3m3f at Fontwell latest and makes his handicap debut off a mark of 133 today. Erzen finished runner-up to Beshabar in a Grade 3 contest at Sandown over 2m6f last time and has solid claims on that form. Sereth is another to consider.

SUNTINI raised a few eyebrows when lowering the colours of Arkle fancy Tataniano at Newbury last time, and with similar underfoot conditions, he gets the chance to show that was no fluke. Ernst Blofeld fell early at Cheltenham last time but his previous form gives him strong claims, while Doctor Pat never looked comfortable at Cheltenham last month but this flatter track should play to his strengths.

VICARIO showed a good attitude to score over 2m5f at Bangor last week and, with the extra yardage unlikely to pose too much of a problem, he can score again this afternoon. Alright Now M'Lad finished runner-up to Robbers Glen at Wetherby and should go well again whilst Oopsmylord is also respected.
